About Gloveg Agri (U) Limited

Gloveg Agri (U) Limited (GAL) is an indigenous Ugandan agricultural Company incorporated with Registrar of Companies in 2018. The company has two co-founders who are its curent directors: Mr. Sunday Etrima Olishe and Mr. Joel Aita and is run by an experienced management team. The core business of the Company is agricultural development, value addition, and marketing of agricultural products to potential bulk buyers, within Uganda and across the globe.

Corporate Farming Model (CFM), is a unique model that has been developed by GAL as a vehicle to address the challenges of commercial farming in Uganda.

Services provided at the Agricultural ParkThe Company offers the following services at the Park:

- Land Hire:

GAL avails ready to use land at a small fee per year to corporate farmers to undertake farming activities.

- Machine Hire Services:

Our State of Art agricultural equipment (tractors, disk ploughs, planters, boom sprayers, combine harvesters) are stationed at the park and available at a small fee to serve our farmers.

- Extension services:

The Company has committed and experienced team of agronomists to provide full time extension services to our farmers to achieve high crop yields and margins.

- Crop Insurance Services:

GAL plans to partner with several insurance companies eg. ICEA to arrange crop insurance services for our farmers. The insurance partners will provide cover to the farmers incase of crop failure due to bad weather, pests and diseases, theft, fire outbreak, among others. The farmers will also benefit from agricultural insurance subsidy (50%) provided by the Government.

- Market linkage services:

GAL will continuously engage with bulk buyers and processors like Mukwano Group of Industries, Uganda Breweries Limited, Nile Breweries Limited, UNGA, Maganjo Millers, WFP within the region and across the globe to buy produce from our farmers. The Company has a fulltime market intelligence team to execute this mandate.

Our Core Team

Joel AitaDirector and Co-Founder

Joel Aita is an Engineer and Entrepreneur. He has founded a number of businesses in Uganda and within Great Lakes Region. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Joadah Consult, an Engineering Consultancy Firm that has presence in Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia. He has Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.

Ozimati FrancisBrand Manager

Mr. Ozimati is a Software Engineer Analyst / Developer, Programmer, Artist, Business Developer and an Entrepreneuer.

Peter Okaje OlupotOperations and Strategy Manger

Peter is an Agribusiness Specialist with over 20 years experience in agribusiness and value chain developmnt and management. He has worked with various local and international organizations including USAID, SNV, Save the Children, Child Fund International at top management level. He has a Bacherlor of Science in Agriculture Degree, Master of Science Enterprise Development and Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Policy and Project Planning.

Sunday Etrima OlisheChief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Mr. Etrima is a Financial Economist, Entrepeneur and a researcher. He has Masters of Science Degree in Financial Economics from University of Exeter United Kingdom, and Master of Science in Monitoring and Evaluation and Bachelors Degree in Economics. He has extensive experience in business development, analysis and management. He is a Director in a number of other Companies including Development Infrastructure and Opera Consult Limited
