What is child labor and child trafficking?

y When children have to work hardy

Sometimes the whole family works together but that is stillchild labor but family businesses dont count.

y The working can stunt their growth, if you work long hoursyou dont develop like you should because you need food

exercise. Sometimes it takes away their innocence.

y Not all the kids get beat/ punished.y Sometimes the children get harassed

    Some get to go home

y Child trafficking= means they are forced to work but if theparents force them to work then thats not trafficking

    thats child labor

y Child engaging in any kind of work that is not ageappropriate.

y If the childrens rights are affected then it is child labor.y Jobs that can be harmful to the Childs help.y If you are being forced into child labor instead of getting

    education.

y It is parents duty to keep children in school. It is thechilds right to be educated.

y IN most countries it is needed for the children to go toschool.

y IN most countries it is needed for the children to go toschool.

y Governments should help family support the children togo school.

How Ms. Chemba and Ms. Maki helps them:

y They work with the governments so they work aboutthe laws.

y Adults interview the kids and try to help them. Andtalk to the parents to take the kids to school instead

of working. If we find a kid who is in labor we can call

a police and arrest the people who are forcing them

to work. So they make sure all the kids are in school

instead of working. Gather information and then

publish it and get the public support.

y There could be school while they are working so firstthey work then they learn but then they work again.

The boys were blinded because they hardly went out

    of the factory.

y There was once a girl, she was mentally handicapped.Someone came to her village and asked her if she

wanted to work for a family and the family said it was

a good idea so she went to work. Her family never

heard from her so her family went to the principle.

The principle found out where she was and told the

government. The time she was at the house they took

her phone and she wasnt allowed to leave the house.
