Standard cylinder
LJM Hydraulik is Denmark’s leading manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders. The majority of our production is special cylin-ders manufactured and designed in accor- dance with the customer’s classification rules and guidelines.
To this there is a very strong and flexible standard range, where several of the most sold variants can be delivered immediately from the warehouse. The standard range is divided into different segments according to the field of application, usage frequency, working pressure, etc. In order to make it easy to find the correct standard cylinder at LJM we have developed the website www.cylinderconsultant.com, an online advisory tool that also offers the download of 3D drawings directly in the customer’s construction drawings.
Our business model is adapted for custom-ers who operate locally and customers who operate globally. With facilities in three parts of the world , and our own construction and design department, we are in a position to deliver a high, uniform quality to exactly the same specifications and standards, regard-less of where in the world our hydraulic cylinders are produced or installed.
At LJM we want to co-ordinate our pro-duction so that it matches customers’ needs. Therefore, an ongoing dialog with our customers is an important part of our daily life. In order to avoid long and expen-sive transport and delivery times we offer, among others, stock after agreement at the location that suits the customer best.
At LJM, the production of a hydraulic cylinder always undergoes a thorough quality test in accordance with our incor-porated ISO 9001 and 3834 welding norms. In addition, a lifetime test can be carried out in our research department. Quality Assurance is under continuous develop-ment so we can always accommodate our customer’s requirements for quality and safety, supported by a submission of all the necessary documentation. with our ERP system we ensure our global presence, so that from the headquarters in Denmark we can control the global logistics, and the customer always has the right cylin-der delivered at the right quality at the right time.
LJM Hydraulik often supplies special solu-tions, which means that our engineers have met almost all of the challenges that the mobile industry can face. LJM is therefore well equipped to support our customers with advice and development. LJM gladly undertakes product development in our test centre so that the customer can receive both theoretical and actual Test Documentation. This includes stress tests or life cycles testing on prototypes.
The mobile industry’s vehicles often work in a very demanding environment, where the equipment must always be ready to meet the end user’s requirements. It can for example be excavator machines, asphalt machines or vehicles that are used in mines or airports. In recent years, LJM Hydraulik has also supplied many cylinder solutions to the subsea market. Technical solution and material choice is important where it concerns underwater technology. LJM Hydraulik supply hydraulic cylinders in stainless steel, other corrosion resistant materials, or with special seals that are adapted to the environment the cylinders will work in.

High pressure, high frequencyand high temperatures
speeds, use a stainless steel version or another corrosive resistant material. In the automotive, iron, metal, and timber indu- stries, great demands are placed on a clean environment, a high frequency, extremely accurate positioning, or a very high pres-sure.
Our cylinders are often mounted onto equipment with a limited space envelope. With the goal of ensuring that the built in dimensions are correct, we often supply 3D cylinder drawings adapted to the customers application. Using 3D CAD drawings, this solution saves time and also provides secu-rity for optimizing the entire development process.
If equipment requires renovation, or for new installations of a production line, downtime is often a significant cost. Therefore prompt delivery of quality cylinders is a must. Con-sequently LJM are continually preferred as the industry’s cooperative partner.
Fully automated processes place great demands on the production equipment and the components that are used in that equipment’s construction. Here the hydrau-lic cylinders play an important role as they will often be utilized at very high intensity in a warm and possibly even corrosive environ- ment. and out. We have built up an entire produc-tion unit that solely produces cylinders for our windmill customers.
Thanks to our presence on three continents, we also live up to our customers’ wishes in this field. LJM Hydraulik’s headquarters is located in Western Jutland, very close to the small city of Lem. This in a part of Denmark is often very windy and the entire Danish windmill industry has its origins here. Therefore, wind and the industry linked to it, has al-ways been a natural part of our daily lives.

A lot of windmills are manufactured with LJM hydraulic pitch and lock cylinders.
Via a cooperative agreement with LJM, and adapting to the market needs, we now offer new Original Cylinders, in addition to repairs, renovation and replacement of existing units. This means that we can offer improved supplies and excellent after sales service to support our OEM Wind Turbine manufacturers.
