What is SRA?

Security Risk Advisors is committed to unique and diverse perspectives, especially for those who have been traditionally underrepresented and unemployed in the cybersecurity field. Driven by this commitment, they have set up a fund that will provide $5000 scholarships to learners who qualify. This scholarship can also be stacked with the GCI’s other scholarship offerings, meaning that some learners could potentially not pay anything out of pocket for this one-of-a-kind program.

We are deeply committed to building a diverse cybersecurity workforce. Diversity can take many forms, but we know that a team’s cognitive diversity is a primary indicator of performance. And it’s clear that cybersecurity requires top-performing teams.

Also, we believe that creating better career opportunities for underrepresentedpopulations is just the right thing to do. With all that in mind, we offer thesescholarships to those who might not normally consider a career in cybersecurity.

$5000 Next Gen Cybersecurity Scholarship

Security Risk Advisors Next Gen CybersecurityScholarship ApplicationProspective students must complete the Next Gen Cybersecurity Scholarship application form on the Bootcamp website, under the Scholarships section, which includes a short explanation about how your background will add stability to the cybersecurity workforce. The website can be found on the back of this brochure.

If you want your unemployment or displaced worker status taken into consideration, you must also provide official documents verifying your dislocated worker status (original hiring & termination or notice of layoff letter, or a State Department of Labor Displaced Worker Certification).

Applicants will need to send these documents to [email protected].

Once approved, Next Gen Cybersecurity Scholarship students must arrange for payment of the remainder of their tuition by the end of the last business day before classes begin.

Due to generous private donation, we have a small

number of $5000 scholarships available

for underrepresented populations residing in the US.

These scholarships are designed for

people with non-traditional backgrounds who are

trying to transition into the cybersecurity

workforce. A few categories include but are not

limited to: women, single-parent households,

minorities, people with non-technical backgrounds,

and disabled persons.

Cyber Range Diversity Scholarship

Global Cybersecurity Institute’s Cybersecurity Bootcamp is an immersive 15-week hands-on training course. All content and interactions are delivered remotely but include significant live interactions with our faculty and your fellow students. Built around a virtual simulation of a company, you will be trained not only through lectures and exercises but also by being assigned work roles and real-world tasks that will help you learn how to put your classroom learning into practice. This simulation leverages RIT’s nationally-recognized expertise in our School of Interactive Games and Media, the Saunders College of Business, and the Department of Computing Security.

Due to generous private donation, we have a small number of $2500 scholarships available for underrepresented populations residing in the US. These scholarships are designed for people with non-traditional backgrounds who are trying to transition into the cybersecurity workforce. A few categories include but are not limited to: women, single-parent households, minorities, people with non-technical backgrounds, and disabled persons.
