WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAMFOR LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS
Please take notice that New York State Homes and Community Renewal(HCR) will conduct a public hearing for the purpose of receivingcomments on the draft Weatherization Assistance Program State Plan forthe 2016 Program Year.
The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from1:30 PM to 3:30 PM by video conference at the following HCR offices:Hampton Plaza, 38-40 State Street, Ballroom, Albany, NY 12207; 535Washington Street, 1st fl. Conference Room, Buffalo, NY 14202; 620 ErieBlvd. West, 3rd fl. Conference Room, Syracuse, NY 13204; and 25 BeaverStreet, 6th fl. Conference Room, New York City, NY 10004.
The Weatherization Assistance Program is funded by the U.S.Departments of Energy and Health and Human Services. The program isadministered in New York State by HCR. The purpose of the program isto increase the energy efficiency of dwellings owned or occupied by low-income persons, reduce their total residential energy expenditures andimprove their health and safety, especially low-income persons who areparticularly vulnerable such as the elderly, handicapped and children.
The public hearing is being held pursuant to Title 10, Code of FederalRegulations, Section 440.14(a). Interested parties are invited to providetestimony regarding the Weatherization Assistance Program byappearing at one of the public hearing locations. If you would like tomake a presentation at one of the locations, you must provide writtentestimony at the time of your presentation.
If you cannot attend the public hearing, you may state your interest orconcerns through written testimony mailed to HCR or emailed [email protected] by close of business Monday, February 8,2016.
Copies of the draft 2016 Weatherization Assistance Program State Planwill be available for inspection at the hearing locations or from thefollowing address: Weatherization Assistance Program, NYS Homes andCommunity Renewal, 38-40 State Street, Albany, NY 12207, or on the website located at www.nyshcr.org . Consulate General of Turkey in New York announces a Request forProposals (RFP) in search of offers for a Demolition Contractor to carry outthe entire demolition of the current "Turkevi Center Building" and thetownhouse located at 821 United Nations Plaza, New York, NY 10017Block 1338, Lots 30, 31 and 32. Demolition work will include hazardousmaterial handling (abatement/remediation), material salvage/recycling,site work, utility work, building decontamination, mold control and dustcontrol.
The current Turkevi Center building is eleven stories tall with a floor plateof 6,600 SF with a total of approximately 72,600 SF. The town housebuilding is four stories tall with a floor plate of 1400 SF with a totalof approximately 6,400 SF.

Richmond University MedicalCenter (“RUMC”) invites New YorkState licensed Architectural andEngineering firms to submitproposals to provide Architecturaland Engineering Services forRUMC’s Campus Site DrainageProject (Document Control #: AE-160113-02). The Campus SiteDrainage hazard mitigationproject has been funded throughthe NYS DHSES/FEMA 404 HazardMitigation Grant Program (HMGP)in two phases. This Request forProposals (RFQ) is for Phase I ofthe Campus Site Drainage Projectand includes a preliminaryHydrologic and Hydrology Study(H&H), initial design engineeringservices, site survey, creation ofconstruction bid documents,permitting, constructionadministration (CA) andconstruction managementservices for the period ofconstruction.
RUMC plans to enter into anagreement with one (1) A&E firmwith demonstrated expertise instorm water drainage hazardmanagement and construction;with the ability to meet RUMCproject objectives, and withprofessional experience with andknowledge and understanding ofNYC Building Codes, NYC ZoningOrdinance, NYC Department ofEnvironmental Protection, NYSDivision of Homeland Securityand Emergency Management-FEMA, and any other necessaryregulations to provide designservices and constructionadministration/managementservices for this project. A&E firmsare also encouraged to includeteam members with relevantFEMA-NYS DHSES mitigationexpertise. The A&E firm willprovide all necessary documentsand design services including bidspecifications, contractdocuments, permits, approvalsand constructionadministration/managementservices for the project for anestimated period of 2- 3 years.
The firm will work under thesupervision of RUMC’s VicePresident of Legal Affairs and RiskManagement and/or RUMC’sDirector of Facilities. The RFQ isavailable for downloading bygoing to RUMC’s website,www.rumcsi.org.
