The DirectConnect to UCF Pathway is your step-by-step program for academic and career success!
Included on the Pathway are touch points that will help to prepare you for your entry into UCF. You will plan your specific academic path, explore degrees and career options, discover the UCF community and what we have to offer, and transition smoothly into UCF from your state college.

TO ACCESS THE PATHWAY...
You can access the Pathway through the “Pathway Portal.” The Pathway Portal uses UCF’s Learning Management System known as CANVAS and, as a DirectConnect to UCF student on the Pathway, you have been granted special access to CANVAS.
In order to access the Pathway Portal:• Go to the website: webcourses.ucf.edu• Click on the “What is my NID?” link• Look up your NID• Return to the sign in page at webcourses.ucf.edu• Click the “What is my NID Password?” to set your password• Using both your NID and your newly created password, login to
the Pathway portal at webcourses.ucf.edu
TO COMPLETE THE PATHWAY...
During your journey on the Pathway, your goal is to achieve the status of a Golden Knight!
You will complete four levels of knighthood that are specifically designed to prepare you. The levels—Page, Squire, Knight, and Golden Knight—will allow you to build the skills necessary of a successful UCF Knight!
Along your journey, you will have the opportunity to accumulate points and earn digital badges that will signify your accomplishments and showcase your achievements!

PAGE LEVEL (0 - 30 credits)
SQUIRE LEVEL (30-45 credits)
To become a successful Knight, you must first understand where you are, and then make the necessary plans to get to where you want to go! As a Page, you will focus on building the foundation that you will need for the rest of your journey.
At this level, you will:P Explore your skills and strengths by completing a Career
Assessment
P Complete your English Composition (ENC) and Math requirements
P Investigate your UCF major, and understand the prerequisite courses that you may need for that major
P Meet with you DirectConnect to UCF Coordinator
P Claim you Page level badge!
At the Squire level, you must sharpen and hone the skills that you will need to become a successful Knight! Being a Knight is much more than brute strengthen; you must be armed with knowledge and understanding of the world around you!
At this level, you will:P Experience a UCF tour
P Participate in four skills workshops, to include Academic Planning, Study Skills, Financial Planning, Career Planning, Leadership, and Diversity
P Organize all of your materials for admission to UCF, and submit your application at 45 credit hours
P Claim your Squire level badge!

PAGE LEVEL (0 - 30 credits)
KNIGHT LEVEL (45 - 60 credits)
GOLDEN KNIGHT LEVEL (Semesters 1 and 2 at UCF)
Level three in your journey is where you will learn how to become a UCF Knight! However, before you can wear the coveted title of KNIGHT, there is still some work left to be done; you must use all of your training and available resources if you want to enter the realm of UCF!
At this level, you will:PAttend a UCF “meet up” event
PView a UCF Lecture
PMeet with your DirectConnect to UCF Coordinator
POrganize your final requirements for admission to UCF
PGraduate from your state college!
PClaim your Knight level badge!
On this final level of your journey, there are many new and wonderful adventures that await you! This stage is designed to advance your skills, and to help you achieve the elite status of a UCF GOLDEN KNIGHT!
At this level, you will:PMeet with your UCF major advisor
PComplete an advanced skills workshop
PMeet with a community leader
PParticipate in Civic Engagement
PClaim your Golden Knight level badge!
PApply to become a DirectConnect to UCF Ambassador
