The preparation of Mycology quality control slides for stain validation is time consuming and has the potential for failure. Commonly, Candida albicans cultures only demonstrate ovoid forms, but Alpha-Tec has created a process to grow C. albicans to show both filamentous and ovoid morphology in our QC1™ Mycology Slides. In addition, the quality of reagents can significantly influence the final diagnostic outcome. Mucolytic agents such as MYCO-PAC™ and MUCOSOL™ break down the disulfide bonds in mucous to make mycological culture and microscopic identification easier without fungal toxicity. Alpha-Tec Mycology Stains are filtered to make organism identification easier, and reduce the chance of false-positive diagnosis, by reducing precipitant/sediment. Get certainty. Get Alpha-Tec.
