ATTENTION EXHIBITORS These shows are governed by the American Kennel Club. Exhibitors should read the AKC agreement on the back side of the entry form in the premium list. Entries submitted must include both sides of the entry form. A Recording Fee and Event Fee will be required for each dog entered at any licensed or member club show. These fees are to be collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Fees are to be collected on the first entry. Telegraph, Telephone, and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on official AKC Entry Forms, and photocopies of Entry Forms without agreement and rules on the reverse side of the official AKC Entry Forms are not acceptable.
ENTRY INFORMATION 1. Fees must accompany entries. The GSDCSTL/or its superintendent assume no responsibility for incorrect or incomplete information given on the entry form by the owner or agent of the owner. The GSDCSTL and its superintendent assume no responsibility for the owner or the owner's agent entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete or for entering the same dog twice. 2. Entry fees will NOT be refunded if a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by veterinarian or judge, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of the entry fee for bitches in season; bitches entered for breed competition are eligible to be shown. There is no refund for duplicate entries. 3. Declination of entries. The GSDCSTL may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the kennel clubs or any official thereof. 4. Effective for all shows held on or after April 30, 1980, dogs which according to their owners' records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for a show, but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed competition, provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one half hour before the start of any regular conformation judging at the show.
JUDGING 1. Judging will start promptly. During the hours of judging, owners are to be on call and have their dogs ready to bring into the judging ring promptly, in order that the judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only to be present for their judging. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. DO NOT BRING ANY DOGS THAT ARE NOT ENTERED. There is no provision for unentered dogs at these shows. 2. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class. Owners or agents of the dog alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. There is no rule that requires the judge to wait for a late dog. 3. All dogs must be on leash at all times while on the show premises, except when in an exercise pen. 4. All prizes will be awarded in the ring. The German Shepherd Dog Club of St Louis reserves the right to substitute any trophy with one of equal or greater value if conditions make it necessary.
LOSS OR DAMAGE 1. MANAGEMENT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OF, DAMAGE TO, OR DEATH OF ANY DOG EXHIBITED, OR FOR THE POSSESSIONS OF ANY PARTICIPANT, WHETHER THE RESULT OF ACCIDENT OR ANY OTHER CAUSE. IT IS EXPRESSLY UNDERSTOOD THAT EVERY DOG AT THIS SHOW IS IN THE CARE AND CUSTODY & CONTROL OF HIS OWNER OR HANDLER DURING THE ENTIRE TIME THE DOG IS ON THE SHOW PREMISES. 2. DO NOT LEAVE ANY DOGS IN CLOSED VEHICLES. 3. The welfare of an exhibitor's child is the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is expressly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children while they are on the show premises.
ADDITIONAL SHOW RULES 1. EXHIBITORS AND AGENTS will be held responsible for damages & for keeping the premises clean around their crates & setups. Rude or abusive language will not be tolerated. Any infraction will be referred to the Show Committee for appropriate action. 2. EXHIBITORS AND AGENTS WILL BE GOVERNED by any rules & regulations of Purina Farms and/or local restrictions. 3. ALL EXHIBITORS AND AGENTS must keep dogs under control, restrained at all times. The German Shepherd Dog Club of St. Louis, Inc., its Show Secretary, Proprietors of this Show Site, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by spectators, exhibitors, handlers, their employees or children, etc., or to any of the dogs or property. Entrants and Spectators to the show do so entirely at their own risk.

CLASSIFICATION – REGULAR CLASSES
Conformation
The following classes will be provided for both Dogs & Bitches. 6 to 9 Puppy, 9 to 12 Puppy, 12 to 15 mo, 15 to 18 mo, Novice,
Bred-By Exhibitor, American Bred, Open, Winners, Veterans, Best of Breed Non-Regular (additional classes)
Best Puppy, Best Opposite Puppy, Best Junior Handler, Best Veteran
Best Junior Handler – There must be a minimum of two class winners present to compete.
Junior Showmanship Novice Junior Class – For boys and girls at least 9 and under 12 years of age on the day of the show who at the time entries close, have not won (3) first places in a Novice class with competition present at a licensed or members show. Novice Intermediate Class - – For boys and girls at least 12 and under 15 years of age on the day of the show who at the time entries close, have not won (3) first places in a Novice class with competition present at a licensed or members show. Novice Senior -– For boys and girls at least 15 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show who at the time entries close, have not won (3) first places in a Novice class with competition present at a licensed or members show. Open Junior Class - For boys and girls at least 9 and under 12 years of age on the day of the show who at the time entries close, have won (3) first places in a Novice class with competition present at a licensed or members show. Open Intermediate Class - For boys and girls at least 12 and under 15 years of age on the day of the show who at the time entries close, have won (3) first places in a Novice class with competition present at a licensed or members show. Open Senior Class - For boys and girls at least 15 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show who at the time entries close, have won (3) first places in a Novice class with competition present at a licensed or members show. Master Class - For Boys and Girls at least 9 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show and who have won ten (10) first place wins in an Open Class, with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be November 1-October 31 of the following year. All juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed, all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year. Junior Handler number MUST BE ON ENTRY. You may obtain a Junior Showmanship number by calling AKC Event Records Department at 212-696-8281.

AGREEMENT
I (we) acknowledge that the “Rules Applying to Registration and Dog Shows” and, if this entry is for an Obedience Trial, the
“Obedience Regulations,” have been made available to me (us), and that I am (we are) familiar with their contents. I (we) agree that
the club holding this show or obedience trial has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In
consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the show or obedience trial and of the opportunity to have the dog
judged and to win prize money, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents,
superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless
from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of
this dog while in or upon the show or obedience trial premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume
all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further to agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any
claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death, damage, or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the
club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes.
I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all
loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage
because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person or persons, including myself

INSTRUCTIONS
1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular
variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (sold color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in. over 13in. but
not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white),
Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby,
Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record
and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose
championships are unconfirmed. the showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of
90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in the premium list. If the dog class in which you are entering your dog is divided,
then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which your entering your dog, i.e., age
division, color division, weight division.
4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog
has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner if any show for which entries closed after the
date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is
recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to
Chapter 14, Section 3.)

“Obedience Regulations,” have been made available to me (us), and that I am (we are) familiar with their contents. I (we) agree that
the club holding this show or obedience trial has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In
consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the show or obedience trial and of the opportunity to have the dog
judged and to win prize money, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents,
superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless
from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of
this dog while in or upon the show or obedience trial premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume
all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further to agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any
claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death, damage, or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the
club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes.
I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all
loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage
because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself
(ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this show or obedience
trial, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may
be alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other persons.
INSTRUCTIONS
5. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular
variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (sold color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in. over 13in. but
not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white),
Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby,
Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).
6. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record
and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose
championships are unconfirmed. the showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of
90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
7. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in the premium list. If the dog class in which you are entering your dog is divided,
then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which your entering your dog, i.e., age
division, color division, weight division.
8. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog
has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner if any show for which entries closed after the
date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is
recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to
Chapter 14, Section 3.)
