  • DAS GOETHE-INSTITUT SRI LANKA : AN DIESEM ORT ÖFFNET SICH EINE NEUE WELT.

The Goethe-Institut Sri LankaWhere a whole new world opens up.

At the Goethe-Institut, learning German is not only about grammar rules and vocabulary. It also means exploring German literature, music, film and current affairs as well as getting to know German cuisine. At the Goethe-Institut you can hope to bump into such luminaries from the world of the arts and letters as the author Ilija Trojanov or the choreographer Pina Bausch.

Sharing a common language paves the way to an intercultural exchange with no barriers. This is the starting point for the Goethe-Institut. As an official cultural institution of the Federal Republic of Germany, we are much more than a language school. With our wide-ranging cultural programmes and access to our libraries, we bring the German language, culture and society to life everywhere in the world.

Languages open up horizons - no matter when or where. Since 1957 the Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka has broadened the professional and personal horizons of 100,000 people who have attended its German courses. But stepping inside Goethe-Institut means an encounter with more than just the German language - it is an encounter with Germany. Welcome to the Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka!

MAN KANN DEUTSCHLAND BESCHREIBEN ODER ES AM BESTEN GLEICH SELBST ERLEBEN.

You can describe Germany or even better, come and experience it for yourself.

Our basis for working with others is a dialogue between partners. Within our network and with our cooperative partners we have been developing innovative programmes and concepts for teaching and presenting language and culture for more than six decades and are firmly committed to quality, with passion-and a consistent track record.
