Subject : Empanelment of Geo-Technical Engineer

In terms of Rule 47(4) read with Rule – 49 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Building Rules, 2009, applications are invited from the eligible candidates for enrolment in the Corporation as Geo-Technical Engineer in two categories depending upon qualification & experience as stated below : a) Geo-Technical Engineer (Class - I) :

A post graduate degree in Geo Technical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent engineering qualification / membership recognized by the Government, with at least 5 (five) years’ relevant experience in soil exploration, investigation and recommendation of types of foundation and execution of such work.

b) Geo-Technical Engineer (Class – II) :

A post graduate degree in Geo Technical Engineering from a recognized University or an equivalent engineering qualification recognized by the Government, with at least 3 (three) years’ relevant experience in soil exploration, investigation and recommendation of types of foundation and execution of such work.

Intending candidates are requested to apply before the Director General (Building-II) having his office at Building Department; Kolkata Municipal Corporation; 5, S. N. Banerjee Road; Kolkata – 700 013 in the prescribed format along with the following enclosures :

i) Certificates in support of educational qualifications, ii) Certificates in support of relevant experience, iii) Proof of address, iv) Two recent passport size colour photographs (affix one in the application).

Enrolment fees are as follows :

Geo-Technical Engineer (Class - I) : Rs. 3500/- Geo-Technical Engineer (Class - II) : Rs. 2500/-

Geo-Technical Engineers thus empanelled required to renew the empanelment every year after payment of prescribed renewal fees.
