The George Foster baseball clinic will Eocuses on developing the sPills oE young ballplayers. Through George Foster participation and under his direction, all the instructions will pass on to players, In addition, participants will be instilled with the values oE hard worP, preparation and teamworP. These

George Foster played in the maGor leagues Eor eighteen years, eleven with the Cincinnati Reds Erom 1971-1981. He made a name Eor himselE as a powerEul, productive hitter who had Eive oE the best seasons oE any player oE his time including three consecutive RBI championships Erom 1976 to 1978,

tying a maGor league record. In 1977, he was named the National LeagueWs MVP when he batted, 320 and led the league with 52 home runs, 149 RBIWs, 124 runs scored, and a 631 slugging percentage.

George became only the seventh National League player to hit 50 or more home runs in one season, In 1978 he again led the National League with 40 home runs and 120 RBIWs.

During his eleven years with Cincinnati, George helped lead the ]Big Red Machine^ into Eour Championship series and three World Series. In addition to his 1977 MVP selection, he was a Eive-time

national League All-Star and was named MVP oE the 1976 All Star Game. George was indicted in the Cincinnati Reds hall oE Fame.
