George “Duke” Wilson

In Loving Memory of

George “Duke” Wilson was born to the late Jessie and AmeliaWilson, on April 8, 1937 in Bishopville, South Carolina. OnNovember 5, 2012 at Beth Israel Hospital, Newark in NewJersey, he was called home to be with the Lord.

“Duke” was married to Sara Mae Wilson for fifty-five years andin their union they had two sons, Larry of Newark, New Jerseyand Donald of Brooklyn, New York, two daughters, Georgiannand Shamar both of Newark, New Jersey. He also has two sons,Robert Wilson of New York and Eugene Mack of Germany.

George attended school in the Lee County School System inBishopville, SC. He worked at Pekay Abrasion of Verona, NewJersey for twenty years as a Machine Operator. “Duke” was aloving person who loved spending time with his family. He wasa loving husband, father, grandfather and Pop Pop and always ajokester.

He was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Eugene Wilson andgrandson, Jamar Richardson.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Sara Mae Wilson; hissons, Larry Donald, Robert and Eugene; daughters, Georgiannand Shamar; grandsons, Glen, Aldeen (Leslie), Marvin, Ezra,Dai Dai and Amir; granddaughter, Martina; great-grands,Zafirah, Zaniya, Khashira, Assata, Samiyah, Demetrius, Aziz,Kharee, Bernard and Zahir; one brother, Ernest Wilson (Mary);one sister, Louise Wilson; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jenkins andWhilemina Ferdinand (Richard); two brothers-in-law, WillieRob Jenkins (Lil) and Thomas Jenkins (Audrea); one uncle,George Wilson; one aunt, Stokey McDuffy; and a host of aunts,uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
