    IF YOU SAY THE WORD PROPHET OR PROPHECY TO THE MOD-

    ERN ASCENDING WESTERN CULTURAL MINDset, the likely responsewill be, Oh yeah, Armageddon. And since the Book of Revelations is the only

    significant body of prophecy that the western world has yet to experience, thisinclination makes perfect sense. But prophets and prophecy have an entirelydifferent meaning to the traditional descending Eastern cultures.

    Eastern Mystics and Native Americans socially embraced their prophets. Visionseeking played a central role in the religious life of the Plains Indians. EasternIndian Rishis often listened for the insightful voice of the super-conscious andthis often became their expected role in their community. Prophecy commonly

    denotes a rich spiritual metaphor that signals the need to purify and renew lives,not doom and gloom.

    Many Native American Earth Changes prophecies are based on themes of emer-gence and migration. This migration is both literal and metaphoric, and themap of guidance was always given through listening to the voice of the GreatInner Self well before moving anywhere.     which eternity is experienced. The spiritual teachings that accompany mostprophecies are designed to open your ears.

    Traditional Biblical Armageddon destroys the old world, rewarding the gift ofparadise to the deserving. Again, another age old battle arguing the ethics ofgood and evil. But the path of prophecy is experiential. The visions of prophecyare spiritual teachings containing warnings - if heeded - are designed to heal andrenew our lives.

    So please dont call our office and ask, When is this going to happen? Hon-estly, we dont know.

    There is a saying that a prophets work is truly complete when the events that areprophesied never occur. If they do not occur, then those who had the eyes to seeand the ears to hear made the choice to heal and transform their lives. Catastro-phe and destruction may be averted or avoided altogether. So inevitably, a genuineprophet always has egg on her face.
