Three Years Ago… Whenthe469PoliticalActionCommittee(469PAC)adoptedanewsetofgoalsand
amoredefinedvisionthreeyearsago,wesetouttobecomemorerelevantandeffectiveinArizonapolitics.Iamhappytoannounceourgoalshavebeguntoberealized! Whatwasahandfulofvolunteershasgrownintoasmallarmyofmorethan250PipeTradesvolunteersfromacrossthestate.Thishasallowedthe469PACtoplayamuchlargerroleinArizonapolitics.PAC469eventshavebeenheldincitiesacrossthestate,fromFlagstafftoTucson,toPrescottandSahuarita.TheincreasednumberofvolunteershasallowedthePACtoassistmorecandidateswhoarecommittedtothegoalsandvaluesof469.Evidenceofourinvolvementwas
seenduringthePrimaryElectionsinAugustwhere94percentof469-endorsedcandidatesweresuccessfulintheircampaigns!Our Work is Not Yet Done Theproofisinthenumbers−inmid-September,85volunteersparticipatedinthe469’s“BIG”DayofAction,makingitthelargest469PACeventinhistory.DespitethePAC’sgrowth,wearefarfromfinished.The469PACwillcontinuetomoveforwardandcovernewground.IencourageeachandeverymembertofindoutwhatthePACisallabout.Wehaveseveralupcomingevents−stepupandseewhatsomanyofyourbrothersandsistershavealreadyseen.

Forthefirsttime,theArizonaPipeTrades469participatedintheannualArizonaLeagueofCitiesandTownsconference.ThisgatheringofelectedandappointedcityofficialswaswellattendedandextremelyinformativeforthePAC.Thethree-dayconferenceallowed469leadershiptomeetwithcitymanagers,mayorsandcouncilmembersfromcitiesaroundthestateincludingPage,KingmanandGlendalejusttonameafewofthemunicipalitiesinattendance.Membersofthe469leadershipwereabletoeducatecityofficialsabouttheArizonaPipeTrades469andthepositiveeffect469canhaveoncommunities.TheArizonaPipeTradesplanstoplayalargerroleatthemunicipallevelsowecanprepareforpotentialpublicprojectsasfarinadvanceaspossible,giving469moreofanedgeinputtingmemberstowork.
