Choose ONE of the following topics and write an essay of about 210 to 250 words,

approximately 1 to 1½ pages. Write the title of your essay correctly. Your essay should

have clear paragraphs. There must be evidence of planning i.e. mind map, write the

draft first and then the final essay.

QUESTION 2

Write one of the following transactional writing. Your piece of writing should be 140 to

160 words in length, i.e. one & half pages only. Pay particular attention to format,

language, register and audience.

2.1. Informal letter

Your parents were not able to pay for your school trip. Your uncle/aunt then helped you

with the payment. Write a letter of appreciation and thank your uncle/aunt for the help

you received. Explain how the trip assisted you with your school work.
