The right networking decisions can mean the difference between leading the field, and hanging with the pack. The NetComm SmartVoice suite of products is designed to harness the potential of your business phone system.

It comprises simple tools that can give you the edge and deliver significant savings to your call costs using

Internet telephony. Most importantly, you won’t have to change your existing phone system to do it.

Our products deliver real flexibility, economy, and can easily be connected to a phone or PBX, a key telephone

system, fax machine or PSTN line. All you need is a broadband connection, and you can access both data and

voice/fax services over IP, to massively reduce the cost of your international and long distance calls.

Each model delivers a consistent flow of voice and data traffic. And you never lose voice quality, even when your

Internet connection is being heavily used.

You can choose to deploy the 400 & 800 series Gateways in a number of ways:f As a stand-alone central hub for your phone system, in conjunction with an Internet Telephony

Service Provider (ITSP)

f Within a Private network, using SmartVoice as a communications link between offices

f As a dual network (combining ITSP and your private network)

f Linked to your existing analogue PBX, and converted into an IP PBX.

FXS port – is a port where a telephone handset is connected for making a receiving Internet Telephony and standard PSTN phone calls

FXO port – is a “line” port for connecting a PSTN telephone line to provide landline call functions and PSTN backup

This is a great option if you want to route phone calls/fax

calls over the Internet, using broadband. Models with an

FXO port can also connect to the standard PSTN.

Calling Features: Enjoy terrific features, like:

f Transit-in/Transit-out call control with greeting message and PIN-code security

f PSTN back-up when your ITSP/broadband service is down

f Call routing through dial plans

f FREE SmartVoice Peer-to-peer calling

f Hotline - automatically dials a specific number

f Warmline – similar to hotline but with a short delay if you want to ring another number

f Incoming call ‘hunting’ for available phone

f Fax over IP – T.38 support

f Advanced call handling – transfer, hold, forwarding (network dependant)

Make free calls between offices! This application is ideal

for businesses with a number of branches in different

cities, and a private SmartVoice network that connects

them. It does not require a third-party ITSP, as calls are

still transmitted over the Internet.

Calling Features:f FREE SmartVoice peer-to-peer calling between branches

f Transit-in/Transit-out call control with greeting message and PIN-code security

f PSTN back-up when broadband service is down

f Call routing through dial plans

f Hotline - automatically dials a specific number

f Warmline – similar to hotline but with a short delay to allow you to ring another number

f Incoming call ‘hunting’ for available phone

f Fax over IP – T.38 support

f Call forwarding

Reduce long distance call charges to external phone

numbers, and gain free inter-office calls through your

private network. You can even have the security of PSTN

back-up, if required.

SmartVoice Gateway as a stand-alone box SmartVoice Gateways in a private network Dual Network – combined ITSP & private network

If you operate a call centre and want to outsource or re-

locate incoming calls to another office (eg. Head office

is in Sydney but Customer Support is in Singapore), this

solution is for you. In this example, incoming calls are

routed over a private SmartVoice network to be answered

by phones on the V880.

Call Centre re-location/routing

If you have an analogue telephone PBX, you can easily

add SmartVoice functionality, saving you money and

building on your existing equipment.
