PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Dear Families,
I congratulate everyone for a successful Term Two at Galilee. It has been a
busy week, finishing with Student-Led Conferences, Concert Auditions,
some classroom open sessions and much more. During the School Closure
Day on Monday July 11, the staff will be updating policies related to the
Child Safety Standards and develop whole school planning for Semester
Two.
If your child is in Year Five, please be aware that most Catholic Secondary
Colleges have brought forward 2018 applications to August of this year.
Please ensure that you check their website or ring the school directly.
Starting from Week 2 (for 6 weeks) our students will be doing rehearsals
for the School Concert with teachers (supervised by Galilee staff) from
Danceworld as part of a Performing Arts Program. Junior classes will be
taught at Galilee while senior classes will utilise the facilities at Dance-
world. Timetabling will be distributed in the first week of next term. We
are thrilled to provide this additional experience to our students.
School finishes tomorrow on Friday June 24th at 1:30pm.
I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday and look forward to seeing you
back at Galilee on Tuesday July 12.

ATTENTION ALL CLASSROOM HELPERS!!
Due to forthcoming changes in the School’s
Specialist Timetable for Term 3, the Classroom
Helpers Roster for that term will be distributed to
our many valued Helpers in Week 1 of Term 3 with
Classroom Helping to begin in Week 2 (due to 3
days of concert rehearsal). Hopefully, this does not
inconvenience anyone and I do apologise in advance
if this is the case.
If you are a current Classroom Helper (i.e. indicated
at the beginning of the year that you wished to help
in your child’s/children’s classroom/s) and can no
longer consistently commit to your days and times
for the remainder of the year, please let me know as
soon as possible. Thank you,
Linda Florenca-Grillo

derstanding the impact of autism
Strategies for parents to put in place that
meet their child's specific needs

LOST PROPERTY
Last Friday at the Years 3-6 Disco Night, a blue
cotton square piece of material (rolled into a
head-scarf) with a Mickey Mouse print on it
was lost. If your child accidently took it home,
please bring it to the office as it is important
to it’s owner.
Thank you!

Shared Stories Anthology –
Connection and Renewal (2016 Themes)
Just a reminder that if any students wish to contribute to this
year’s Anthology, there’s still time to enter a piece of writing or
artwork. Feel free to email a story or a poem that your child may
wish to write over the holidays, based on one of the above
themes.
