Gazipasa-Alanya International Airport (GZP) is the second airport of the city of Antalya, which welcomed about 13 million foreign visitors in 2018. About 25% of Antalya’s visitors have actually vacationed in Alanya, 135 kms to the east of the city center of Antalya. Alanya visitors have doubled since year 2006.

Due to the remote location of the existing Antalya Airport to major touristic centers in Alanya, the development and operation of the new Gazipasa-Alanya International Airport became inevitable. The airport serves commercial flights since 2010 and has become a major gateway to the region since then.

Operator of 15 airports worldwide, TAV Airports assists the airlines and tour operators to grow their business in GZP, through its regional experience and know-how.

ALANYA’S BACKGROUND

Antalya region offers a great destination in the Mediterranean with year round sunshine, excellent hotels and beaches, local culture and genuine hospitality, with a short flight time from Eastern Europe & CIS countries.

Most of the traffic of Antalya region originates from European countries and Russia.

Alanya became a significant destination for foreigners to purchase real estate after the provisional elimination of restrictions on land purchases by non-nationals. Over 34 thousand homes in Alanya are owned by non-nationals and over 14,200 foreigners reside in the town on a full year basis. The urban population of Alanya is about 290 thousand.

GZP IS A NEW AND EFFICIENT AIRPORT Do not expect any delays at Alanya’s new Gazipasa-Alanya (GZP) Airport. You may enjoy the smooth operations at a totally new airport, equipped with the latest technology. We can proudly speak of a 30 min turnaround time for a typical A-320.

A major capacity enhancement project is completed in GZP, which added 6,000m2 of terminal area and 3 additional aircraft parking spaces. In addition, runway is extended to 2,350m. With the extended runway, GZP is now capable of serving A321 and B757 aircrafts.

GZP IS A RAPIDLY GROWING AIRPORT Gazipasa-Alanya Airport (GZP) traffic reached 1,2 million passengers in 2018. Royal Flight, Azur Air, SAS, Finnair , Pobeda, Corendon Airlines are some of the major airlines operating to GZP from numerous destinations. In addition, Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines and Anadolujet connect GZP to Istanbul and Ankara (ESB) with frequent domestic flights.

18 airlines operate from GZP to 29 destinations in 12 different countries. The route network of GZP will expand further in 2019.
