Prerequisite: none. SCRIPT ANALYSIS (THEA 21111) From the page to the stage, learn how theatre artists bring great scripts to life! Prerequisite: none. FUNDAMENTALS OF PRODUCTION II: COSTUMES, LIGHTING AND PROJECTIONS (THEA 11732) An introduction to professional theatre production principles and practices in the areas of costumes, lighting and projections. This course includes two lab sections (THEA 11733-Lab III & THEA 11734-Lab IV). Prerequisite: none. PLAYWRITING (THEA 41026; cross listed with ENGLISH 38895) Principles underlying playwriting for the contemporary theatre; analysis of short play form. Prerequisite: none. SOUND DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY II (THEA 41527) Studies in sound design, sound production and reinforcement for live performance. Advanced software applications will be explored. Prerequisite: Sound Design I or special permission. VOICE AND MOVEMENT (ST: THEA 41095) This course is designed to familiarize you with your unique voice and body movements in order to improve breath control, resonance, articulation, relaxation, projection, and physical alignment; as well as develop an ability to reflect on your physicality in terms of presence, intention, and spatial awareness. Prerequisite: none. THE ART OF THEATRE (THEA 11000) Using the life-centered nature of theatre as a medium of analysis, this course is designed to develop critically engaged audience members who are aware of the impact, significance and historical relevance of the interconnection between culture and theatre performance. Prerequisite: none. ALSO AVAILABLE: Practicum (Theatre Lab) courses in Design/Tech, Stage Management and Performance for the two Spring theatre productions.
