G2 DASC 200 Data Logger Featuring EmiDAS software The G2 DASC 200 Data logger is 19” rack mounted unit that uses state of the art computer technology to acquire data from up to 255 sensors or analysers; data can be exported to the G2 DASC 200 in a variety of forms, analogue, digital, RS 232/485, Profibus, TC/IP, Modbus, Fieldbus etc. The data is then processed and stored within a secure database with the capability of storing in excess of ten years of data. The main function of the G2 DASC 200 is to control the acquisition of data from the field based monitors and sensors. Analogue and digital signals are captured by a Distributed I/O system and then exported to the G2 DASC 200; other serial data protocols are accessed directly by the G2 DASC 200 and the flow of data is controlled by its communications module. All data, even on extremely large and complex systems, is collected and processed within a ten second continuous cycle, ensuring at least six data reads per minute. On smaller systems, cycle times have been successfully tested at less than one second intervals. Once data is stored within the database, it can be accessed directly by an operator at a remote terminal using one of our software programs such as EmiDAS Pro or it can be distributed via a site network to multiple users or accessed over a secure LAN via the Internet if necessary. Data from the G2 DASC 200 can be exported to other applications such as Excel or other site data systems such as DCS or historian systems such as Pi using MODBUS, MODBUS TC/IP, Profibus, or retransmitted as analogue signals using an external distributed I/O module. This same unit can initiate relays and export digital signals on command from the G2 DASC 200. As system integrators we understand that environmental data logging systems are normally mission critical, so we offer several options to increase data security. These include Raid drives, remote tape drives, Uninterruptible Power Sources, redundant power supplies and dual G2 DASC 200 systems for complete redundancy. EmiDAS Pro accesses data gathered by the G2 DASC 200 from up to 250 site emissions analysers and sensors.The data are stored within the G2 DASC 200 data logger and is used by EmiDas Pro to create real-timepresentations, historical graphing, alarms and reports; In addition, EmiDAS Pro has extremely flexiblereporting capabilities that allow data to be formatted and exported as a .pdf file to a printer or to otherprograms like Excel or Access.

EmiDAS Pro has advanced graphing capabilities to provide stunning visual displays of data to enableoperators to understand clearly what is happening within their process and provides the ability to correctexcursions before they become serious using predictive monitoring in the form of partial averages.

EmiDas Pro it has an advanced BS EN 14181 module that can apply calibration functions generated by QAL2testing and produce QAL3 control charts such as CUSUM, Shewart and EWMA by storing the results of zeroand span checks using test gases or reference materials. The EmiDAS Pro system has the optional ability tocontrol the automatic injection of test gases using our Calibration Gas System (CGS). For incinerationprocesses that are regulated under WID, we also offer our Environment Agency compliant WID report.

For processes regulated under the Large Combustion Plant Directive (LCPD) we offer EmiDAS Power; usingthis unit’s advanced communications capabilities the G2 DASC 200 can communicate with the processdistributed control systems and Pi systems to gather together all the data required for LCPD reporting usingthe EA mandate Form Air reporting forms.

EmiDAS Pro and Power have been produced to comply with the Environment Agency's MCERTSEnvironmental Data Management Standard (Parts A, B, C1, C2).

The G2 DASC 200 canacquire data from several monitoring sources and store it on its hard drive (s) for several years. To this we add an applicationspecific software suite that conditions the data and enables the operator to view real-time and historical data in tabular orgraphical form and generate reports in Corporate or Regulatory Agency format.

At present, we offer the G2 DASC 200 with the EmiDAS module for emissions to air, with Water Quality, Air Quality and Emissionstrading modules to follow.
