THE LASTING LEGACY

If you have ambitions to play your sport at the highest level Future Champions may be able to help you achieve your goal.

Working together, partners in the Tees Valley - national governing bodies of sport, Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees councils, Tees Active and Tees Valley Leisure trusts and Teesside University – want to help all young people achieve their sporting potential.

Future Champions aims to support athletes participating in regional and national squads, led by their sport’s national governing body. * Athletes currently receiving support from other programmes, for example, the world class programmes will not be supported.

Two options are provided

1 free or subsidised access to selected local sports facilities in Middlesbrough, Darlington, Stockton-on-Tees and Redcar and Cleveland

2 high quality support to enhance the physical development which underpins top class sport performance, delivered by Teesside University

Applicants can be considered for one or both options.

Applications can be made at any time and will be considered four times each year. The closing dates for applications are as follows;

30 September • 31 December 31 March • 30 June
