• Recently established – Less than 5 years old• Innovative (operating in a growth sector).• Capable of generating at least :
• 10 full time jobs (in Ireland) - by end of Yr3• Annual revenues of €1.3M - by end of Yr3
• International sales focus• Headquartered & controlled in Ireland
• Also Strong Management Team
EI Funding for Start-UpsEarly Stage:
• Innovation Vouchers• Accelerator Supports: New Frontiers (Phase 2 €15K stipend) • Competitive Feasibility Grant (€15k - max 50%) – Calls by Region, Sector
Market Validation/Prototype Development:
• Competitive Start Fund - Call Dates on EI website• €50k Starter - Promoters €5k Equity • 10% Ordinary Shares
First Round / Investor Ready:
• iHPSU Equity Investment ~ €100k - €350k (average €250k),• CCRPs, generally fully matched – EI max. 50% of funding required.
• Aims to Build Links between Knowledge Providers and Small Businesses (must be Limited Company).
• Voucher (€5,000) can be exchanged for Advice and Expertise from Ireland’s public Knowledge Providers
