A development strategy and design guidelines for a mixed-use district

The Northwest/Progresso/Flagler Heights Community Redevelopment Agency (NWPFH-CRA) engaged Urban Design Associates to create an Implementation Plan for the rehabilitation, conservation, and redevelopment of these declining neighborhoods adjacent to downtown Fort Lauder-dale. A Technical Work Group composed of staff from the CRA and various City agencies was formed to collaborate with UDA. This team, guided by UDA, generated visions for the future of the Northwest/Progresso/Flagler Heights areas as vibrant, multicultural, mixed-income neighborhoods with increased home ownership and new retail.
