• Created in 2003 as Sea and Water• Aimed at promoting use of short-sea, coastal and

inland waterways services• Originally focused on research projects• Now business-focused - directly promotional work• Merged into FTA November 2010

• Focus on business-2-buisness communications– Promoting and supporting actual utilisation of water

freight services

• Supply chain approach – identify and support areas of maximum benefit

• Maintain separate membership grouping – Working Group formed

• FTA to recruit new members

– Conferences– Seminars– Working Groups

• News/information service for members– Discussion Group
