Why the ISCF? Need and Purpose
The International Sport Coaching Framework is an
internationally recognised reference point for the
development of coaches. It is responsive to the needs of
different sports, countries, organisations and institutions
and provides benchmarks for the recognition and
certification of coaches
� European 5-level structure 1999-2007
� Review of structure 2003-2007 (AEHESIS project)
culminating in publication of EFRCCQ by European
Coaching Council
� Rio Maior Convention 2007
� 2011 ICCE-ASOIF agreement to establish a Project
Group for the period 2011-2013
� 2012 Publication of ISCF v1.1 at the Olympic Games
in London
