Schmidt will focus on contract negotiation, preparation and review, corporate governance matters, and transaction diligence as well as review. He will also work with clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and a variety of real estate transactions. Schmidt spent 19 years in various capacities at Glimcher Realty Trust, a leading retail real estate investment trust which merged with Washington Prime Group earlier this year. Schmidt is a member of the Ohio, Texas and Columbus (Ohio) Bar Associations, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT).
