Welcome to Calvary Kidz! “Be Extraordinary for Jesus!”

Welcome to the next season of Calvary Kidz at Calvary Chapel Pearl Harbor! Over the past few months we have had the blessing of welcoming a bunch of new families to our church. We are here to partner with you, parents, in teaching your children about Jesus and how they can be a light of His love in their everyday lives. From our four different service times to our special events, we always keep Christ at the center and strive to make it a safe and fun environment for families.

We want to continue making and building relationships with our Calvary Kidz families and volunteers. Some of you may know us from the past and some of you may have no clue who is directing your kids at church. Well, we are Josh and Kami Liles, your Children’s Ministry Directors! We are about to celebrate our second marriage anniversary and have a joyful little girl named, Madilynn. Both of us have grown up in the Church serving in many different ways.

Sunday Morning Preschool - 5th Grade Count on DIG IN to creatively lead your kids to Biblical depth…guiding them to new discoveries about God and their faith. Plus, DIG IN is designed to create relationships that are engaging & exciting for both the teacher & kids!

Sunday AM Toddlers & Wednesday PM Preschool - 2nd Grade Jesus used everyday objects like coins, fish, and plants to help people remember the truths He shared with them. This Curriculum does the same thing through "gizmos," and they serve the same purpose: to help kids understand important Bible truths. It worked for Jesus, and it still works today!

Wednesday PM This program helps kids grapple with the real questions in their lives so they OWN their faith.

NEW CURRICULUM

Fall 2016

Kami is the daughter of Pastor Derald and Sue Skinner and after moving away for about two years she has returned to her home church as the Children’s Ministry Director. She has been involved in Children’s Ministry for 15 years working in various areas such as special events, theatre arts, co-directing and more. On top of Kami’s Children’s Ministry responsibilities she also designs all of CCPH’s graphics and runs her own wedding and event coordinating company, Events by Kamerra.

Josh grew up in Florida, where his dad was his youth pastor. Josh has over eight years experience with leading worship and worked as an after school teacher in Florida. He has a passion for connecting with people and mission work. On top of Josh’s Children’s Ministry responsibilities he runs Pastor Derald’s radio ministry, “A Chosen Generation” among other everyday church duties that arise.

Children’s Ministry is where our love story began and one of the reasons it holds a special place in our hearts. Kami was directing the 2013 Vacation Bible School and Josh was a volunteer. It was love at first sight. We are now excited to be on this journey of serving the Lord together.

Now that you know a little bit about us, we want to know you! So stop by our office or say “hey!” We are here to equip our volunteers, serve the CCPH’s families, and minister to your children. If you need prayer, lets pray!

This past summer we had a huge VBS, two different very successful Sunday night programs (Camp Kilimanjaro & Kingdom Chronicles), and an out-of-the-classroom style Sunday Morning Program. It was a great and fruitful summer. We had excellent volunteers working along side us and can’t wait to work with them again next summer. We have a whole new crew starting in this next season and they are excited and ready to teach your kids. Please join us in welcoming some new faces to our ministry and also the returning seasoned volunteers. You too can get involved throughout this next season! Ask us how and we will get you started!
