Moto XCongratulations to the Rosehill Moto X Team who competed on Friday 14th October at the “Nailing the Peat” MX Event hosted by Hauraki Plains College. The team consisted of four students Darius Cooper, Michael Carter, Scott Pethybridge and Olivia Monk.

There was a mixed result overall for the day with the stand out rider being Olivia Monk. Olivia competed in the Mixed Senior and Junior Ladies Grade placing 4th twice and 3rd once gaining her 3rd place overall for the day!

Junior VolleyballJunior Boys Our Junior Boys had a great start to their training last term and were excited and ready to have their first games last week, however due to other teams defaulting they have had to wait for this week. Despite the default, our boys are ready to push hard and have a great season.

Junior Girls Our Junior Girls team had an awesome start to the season playing against ASDA College winning their first set 25-16 and their second set 25-11. Overall the girls worked well as a team and pushed hard on that last set. The second game against Manurewa was a lot tougher but the girls pulled together to win their first set 25-19. They then lost the second set 20-25 and the third, finishing with a loss of 11-15. These Junior Girls have been so committed to their trainings which really paid off on the court and we are looking forward to the rest of the season.

Taekwon DoA huge congratulations goes out to Courtney Church who has recently been competing in the Taekwon Do World Cup in Hungary. This is such a significant achievement as the women she has been competing against are all very experienced. Despite the high level of competition Courtney has dominated, proving her skills and has received a Bronze and Silver in her Patterns Division as a 1st time senior!

Junior WaterpoloCongratulations to our Rosehill Junior Waterpolo team who have been entered into the Secondary Schools Competition for the first time! The team did really well in their first week of games coming up against Kings C2 and winning 9-2, then taking on Glendowie B in their second game walking away with a draw 3-3. This team has such great potential that we have entered them into the Secondary Schools North Island Junior Championships in November, so we are all looking forward to this big event! Thank you so much to Syan Purcell who is a senior student at Rosehill, stepping up into the coach's role for our team, and to all of the very supportive parents who are taking turns helping with transport! We couldn’t provide such an awesome programme for our students without you!
