AROUND BRAMBLETON Pool Hours – The Community Center Pool opens tomorrow, May 26, at 11:00 a.m. Pool hours while public schools are in session (May 26 – June 8) are as follows: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 4:00pm – 8:00pm Tuesday & Thursday 12:00pm – 8:00pm Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 11:00am – 9:00pm When public schools are not in session (June 11 – August 24), hours will be from 11:00am – 9:00pm every day. The Beacon Crest Pool will be open 10:00am – 8:00pm on Saturday & Sunday and from 4:00pm – 8:00pm, Monday – Friday (while public school is in session). Beacon Crest will be open 10:00am – 8:00pm every day when school is out. Extended pool pass registration will take place tomorrow, May 26 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the BCA Management Office. Registration for pool passes will continue to be open throughout the season during normal business hours (M-F, 9:00-5:00p.m.). Current tenants must present a new Letter of Permission for the 2012 swim season & current Lease. All residents two and up will need to come in for a photo id pool pass. Please contact [email protected] with any questions. BCA Management Office Closed – The BCA Management Office will be closed on Monday, May 28 th , in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Pool Trespassing and Vandalism – The Association has already experienced its first case of trespassing and vandalism at the Community Center Pool. This is an act that is taken seriously and will not be tolerated. The Association will prosecute anyone found trespassing or vandalizing the pools. LCSO is aware of this and additional patrols have been requested. BCA’s private patrol contractor will take similar actions. Talstar Application – The application of the pesticide Talstar has been delayed due to the rain this past week. Rescheduling of the application is being considered for next week and will be announced when finalized. Metro Rail To Loudoun – Have you emailed your LoCo Board of Supervisors yet? It appears that the LoCo Board is split on whether to support the Rail coming to Loudoun or not. The BCA Board’s position is clear; they unanimously support Rail coming to Loudoun. The economic development and alternate form of transportation is clearly a benefit to Brambleton and the County. Dr. Stephen Fuller’s recent study on the issue backs the BCA Board’s position on this matter. A Friendly Race Reminder – On Monday, May 28th, Ringing In Hope Walk, Run & Fun will be taking place at the Brambleton Town Center. Please be advised that during this time, some of the residential streets will be in use for the 5K and 10K race course, especially between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Police will be stationed along the race route to guide traffic, but please plan extra time in the morning to get to any scheduled activities as traffic may be slowed to allow runners to pass by. Safety is a primary concern for everyone! Signage has been placed along the race route in advance of the Memorial Day event to remind residents about the race. Thank you for your cooperation!

Brambleton Night at the Nationals – A Dozen Tickets Left! – We still have a few tickets left! COUNTY CORNER Loudoun Water Festival / Race for the Reservoir – Come out and support the Briar Woods High School Crew Club during the Loudoun Water Festival/Race for the Reservoir event to be held on Saturday, June 2nd at Beaverdam Reservoir, 42507 Mt. Hope Road Ashburn, VA 20148. The event will kick off at about 9:00 a.m. and continue until 6:00 p.m. It is also National Learn to Row Day so don’t miss out! BWHS will race other local teams all day. Other events will include the Memorial Dedication, a safety demo, Eastern Mountain Sports (they will have different water boats available to try out), Bake Sale, Coffee, Grilled Lunch, Snacks, Sno-Cone machine, popcorn, etc.
