Message from the Head of School We are so busy at this end of term that it is difficult to keep track of everything that is happening! Please help us by reading the newslet-ter and other letters that come home and re-sponding quickly to any requests for permissions and other information.

This week we are sending home your child's end of year academic report. The children have worked so hard this year to rise to the challenges of a new more challenging curriculum. It has been a year of uncertainty in the teaching profession as all teachers across the country struggled to get to grips with a new curriculum and new assessment procedures that changed more than once across the year! Please take the time to read and re-flect on your child's report and please come back and ask us any questions. The ideal time for this is the Meet the Teacher evening on Wednesday 20th Juy 5-8pm where there will be the opportunity to talk to your child's current teacher and their teacher for next year. It is a really informal and friendly event where we can all relax with a burger and take the time to catch up. Please come along.

Louise Oxenham Head of school

Watersmeet Trip We had a super day pond dipping eating ice cream, having a guided walk of the east Lyn valley with the love-ly ranger Dan and a paddle in the sea. Thank you very much to the family holiday association and the national trust for making it happen. Thank you to the lovely fam-ilies that signed up for it! Look out in the newsletter for similar trips over the year. This one was totally free and there were spare seats on the bus! It was the best day ever!

Permaculture and Play The schedule for permaculture and play days next week is as follows:

Monday 1 1th July: No P & P - Sports Day Tuesday 12th July– Year 3 Wednesday 13th July – Year 1

For the remainder of this term, we are only running morning sessions. Children will then have their normal school dinner. As it is sports day on Monday there will be no Permaculture and Play that day..

Leavers Disco The leavers disco takes place next Friday 15th July. This is a whole school event, further details will be sent home next week Leavers Assembly A note for your diary—the leavers assembly will take place on Wednesday 20th July in the afternoon. Further details will be sent home next week.

Meet the Teacher Evening We will be holding our annual informal ‘meet your child’s teacher’ evening on Wednesday 20th July from 5pm to 8pm. The school will be open from 5pm -8pm and during that time there will be the opportunity to attend a whole school meeting where we will discuss school expectations and general routines as well as class meetings where you can hear what your children will be doing next year. When you are not in a meeting we will be providing a BBQ and you will be able to chat informally to your child’s teachers both from this year and next. During the class meeting there will also be the opportunity for you to meet the parents of the other children in your child’s class and begin to put names to faces and start to network. To give us an idea of how much food to provide, please indicate on the slip below if you would like BBQ on the evening.
