• Takeone(1)7½''x14½''rectanglefromfabricC andfolditinhalf,width-wise,rightsidesfacingeachother.

• Sewrightandleftsideedges,usinga¼"seamallowance.Leavethebottomedgeopenandun-sewn.

• Turnthepocketflapinsideoutandpress.Stitchadecorativeline¼"fromthefoldededge.Thiswillensureyourlineddrop-inpocketdoesn’twrinkleorbuckleduringnor-maluse.

• Takeone(1)one18½''x20½''liningpiecefromfabricE.

• Makeamarkatabout7''-8''fromthetopofthebagliningwithawatersolublepen.

• Linethebottomopenedgeofthedrop-inpocketupwiththemarkedlineontheRIGHTsideofthebaglining.

• Thetopofthepocketshouldbepointingtowardsthebottomofthebag.

• Sewonestraightlinealongthebottomedgeofthepocket,usinga¼"seamallowance.

• Makeaverticalstitchinglinethoughthepock-etandliningfabricateachoftheintervals.Thiswillcreate3dropinpockets.

• Atthecornersofyourtotedrawwithaairera-seablepena1"x1"squareonthewrongsideofthefabric.Repeatthisprocessforyourfrontandbacktote.

• Taketheexteriorofthebag(wrongsideout)andpinchapartthetwolayersofthetotetogetalittletriangleononecorner.Flattenitdownalittlebitandmakesurethetopandbottomseamsarelinedup.Holdittight.

Creating Boxed Corners

• Sewfrontandbacktotewithrightsidesto-getherat¼''seamallowance.AlsosewthetwoliningpiecesfromfabricEtogetherbutleaveasmallunsewnportionatthebottominordertopullrightsideofthebagthrough.

• Wewanttoboxtheinteriorcornerstogetareallyniceflatbottomonthebag;thiswaythetotebagwillhavemorebody.

• Pointsofthesquaresyoudrewoneachsideofthetoteshouldmatchup.Pininplaceandstitchontheline.Repeatthisfortheothersideofyourtoteaswellasyourliningpieces.

• Insertthelininginsidethetotebag,rightsidesfacingtogether,makingsuresidesaretouch-ingandpininplace.

• Sewthetopofthetoteandpullyourpiecethroughtheliningopening.
