DAY 03 - MONDAY: RABAT / MEKNES / FEZ (220 km) (B/ D)

Departure to Meknes, the old me dina is surround ed by a trip le thickness of 40 km wa lls and p reserves the

mo st b ea utiful ga te of Moroc c o: the Bab Ma nsour. Also v isit o f the Roya l stables of Moulay Isma el, the

Medina and the Jew ish quarter. After lunc h, co ntinue to Fez via the ho ly city of Moulay Idriss, where the

founder of Islam in Moroc co is buried . Visit of the imp ressive ruins of the Rom an c ity of vo lubilis.

Dinner and overnight in Fez.

DAY 04 - TUESDAY: FEZ (B/D)After breakfast, the who le d ay will be devo ted to the sightsee ing of Fez, the most anc ient of the Impe ria l

c ities found ed in the 8th century by M oulay Idridd II. Visit o f the m ed ieva l Med ina with its Atta rine and

Bou Ana nia Med ersas (religious Islam ic universities), the Nejjarine founta in, the Mo ulay Idriss mausoleum ,

and the Karaouine Mo sque. A Moroc c an lunch will be at a trad itional restaurant in the Med ina. In the

afte rnoon, we will visit Fez Jd id. Dinner and overnight in Fez.

DAY 05 - WEDNESDAY: FEZ / MIDELT / ERFOUD/ MERZOUGA (450 KM) (B/ L/ D)

Departure to Erfoud via the m ounta ins and the ced ar wood s of the m idd le Atlas pa ssing b y Ifrane , a

c harming ski resort, and Azrou, an imp ortant hand ic raft centre.

Stop in Mide lt for lunch. Continue to Erfoud v ia Errac hidia a nd the Ziz va lley a nd its pa lm groves, which is

the reason w hy the y organise the ye arly date Festiva l in Erfoud . Then transfer by 4X4 to

Merzouga . Dinner and overnight at Aube rge Tombo uc tou

DAY 06 - THURSDAY: ERFOUD / RISSANI / TINGHIR / OUARZAZATE (390 KM) (B/L/ D)

After brea kfast a t the Auberge , transfer to Erfoud by 4x4. Co ntinue by c oa c h to Rissani, the ho ly c ity,

whe re Moulay Ali Che rif, an ancestor of the Alaouite d ynasty is buried . Visit the Kasba h o f the 17th c entury

and the Ksar Abb ar ruins, and c ontinue to Tinghir via the Tinjda d roa d . Visit of the ma gnific ent Tod gha

c anyo ns whe re the roc ks rea c h and a ltitude o f 250 me ters.

We w ill have lunch a t a restaurant situated at the foothill of the canyons. After lunch d ep art to the Da de s

c anyons for a visit a nd the n c ontinue to Ouarzazate via the road of the thousand kasba hs and the Dad es

va lley famo us for its roses and the yea rly Mo ussem (Rose Festiva l). Dinner and overnight in Oua rzazate.

DAY 07 - FRIDAY: OUARZAZATE / AIT BENHADDOU / MARRAKESH (230 KM) (B/ L/ D)

DAY 08 - SATURDAY: MARRAKESH (B/L/ D)

The e ntire d ay will be d evo ted to the visit of Marrakec h, the sec ond oldest Imp erial c ity, known as the

pe arl of the South. The c ity was found ed by the Almo rav ides at the e nd of the 11th c entury. The historic a l

sightsee ing include s the Me nara g arde n, the Saa d ian tombs, the Bahia pa lace, and the Koutoub ia .
