The Santa Barbara Trombone Society consists of more than 20 trombonists from SBCC, UCSB, Westmont College, and local area high schools, as well as community members from Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. The SBTS Trombone Quartet is an offshoot of the main group and plays music for all occasions, with styles ranging from Bach to the Beatles.

91st Thursday is an evening of art and culture in downtown Santa Barbara. On the first Thursday of each month, participating galleries and cultural art venues are open from 5-8pm offering the public free access to art in a fun and social environment. In addition, State Street comes alive with performances and interactive exhibits.
