FRASER PUBLIC SCHOOLS ATHLETIC ACTIVITY FEE

The established Athletic Activity Fees for this school year are:

$30 for Middle School participants $75 for High School participants

The following information is a brief outline of the Athletic Activity Fee Program. 1) Payment must be made prior to the first game of the season for all sports:

• Fall Season: Sideline Cheer, Cross Country, Football, Girls Golf, Fraser Dance Team, Girls Swimming, Boys Tennis, Boys Soccer and Girls Volleyball

• Winter Season: Boys Swimming, Wrestling, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Competitive Cheer and Gymnastics

• Spring Season: Girls Tennis, Track & Field, Baseball, Boys Golf, Girls Soccer and Softball

2) Payments can be made using PaySchools (see the link below) or by check or money order payable to Fraser Athletics. Your cancelled check will serve as your receipt. The Payschool link is:

3) Activity Applications must be submitted with the payment to the athletic office prior to the first game of the season.

4) Fees are not refundable unless a student is not selected (for teams where such eliminating is done), or if a

team is cancelled because the number of participants does not meet the established minimum number required. Voluntary withdrawal or lack of playing time will not be the basis for refunding fees. The fee will not be refunded or pro-rated for a student-athlete who is ineligible or becomes ineligible during the season, when a student-athlete is removed from a team for disciplinary reasons, when cancelled contests cannot be rescheduled, or when a full allotment of games cannot be scheduled. Student athletes who experience a documented season-ending injury will receive a pro-rated refund after making application to the Athletic Office.

5) Student athletes are required to have a physical on file in the Athletic Office before taking part in try-outs or

practice.

If payment has not been made by the first game of the season, Student Athletes will not be allowed to practice or participate in games until the Athletic Office has received payment.

Fraser Public Schools invites you to take advantage of a unique learning experience by participating on an athletic team. This learning experience is unique because it offers educational opportunities that are not readily available in the classroom. We emphasize the participation aspect of the program. By participating, our student athletes learn the necessary skills to work effectively with others, solve problems, and be productive and contributing members of society. They also develop the following employability skills:

1. TEAMWORK SKILLS - Learning to: work with people in authority, develop team and individual goals, function in changing work settings and work groups, solve problems in a group setting, work with and respect different ethnic groups, and exercise give-and-take to achieve group results. 2. PERSONAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS - Learning to: be punctual, value sportsmanship, be responsible, exercise self control, react appropriately in competitive, stressful situations, represent the school and community with pride, follow written or verbal directions, and be a leader or follower depending on what is necessary for each situation.
