Chapter 3 - When I was younger

When I was younger the wind was stronger, the trees were taller than the skies, and the waves of the beaches were without riptides and tsunami’s. There was only the echo of an ideal. Thankgod that ideal is dead.

Whole

The soft little lieswe manage to disguisein the gallant and sinless truthcarried over from youth. If only the lies weren't so,If only the eyes could know.

A lack of guileempowers the versatile. If honest eyes give awayand betray the hearts we keepwhere does happiness liein waters that run deep?

When does bad become good? What is the real meaning of should? You cannot hide your innocencefor long. Even though we tryto realize what lies insidewe may defy whereour intentions reside.

Leading questionsare strong confessions andsubtle slips can lead to guilt trips. The ethernal closeness we seekwill make us weak whenexposed to the unknown rush.Infidelity that drives the pleasurein surprise encounters crush.

What if you find out? What if thetruth within your dreamis a weakness and what seemedlike love was the illusionof another heart thereof? If only the lies weren't so,If only the eyes could know.

“Giving up doesn’t always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go.”

Page 16: Frank DeFulgentis - Yahoolib.store.yahoo.net/lib/yhst-94505736457871/journeys.pdf · 2009. 12. 1. · back in late march when you left the windows open in your heart and that someone

escape

I remember the morningand the words I felt that weremirrored in your stare, those looksI had aspired to once. The wine on your lipsthe night before.

Dawn was uninvitedwith a haze of profound depth, profound depth in the kiss, profound depth in the daylight.

Parameters of shadowI now call my soul escapedlike a hand, like when I stoleyour breathand you played with this power.Feel the unknown fright, the waves that crash today, the weakness and horror.

There is no discord in this melody. The agreement of sound and sight, the dream in motion, and the agreementof touch. I will make you feel,I promise you this.

You will give in like beforewith a warm and profound depth, profound depth in the kiss, profound depth in the daylight.

The timing and poise we haddisplayed until I betrayed. The rules you broke to repaymade clouds hide the sun awayand only fueledthe reaping.

It's overwhelming just likeyour swift smile and skindropping loose sand. How I tooka chance, how we confused the truthuntil we forgot. Feelingsand flames of humilityand laughter.

Page 17: Frank DeFulgentis - Yahoolib.store.yahoo.net/lib/yhst-94505736457871/journeys.pdf · 2009. 12. 1. · back in late march when you left the windows open in your heart and that someone

We satisfy the longingwith a defying and profound depth, profound depth in the kiss, profound depth in the daylight.

Turn around and make this straight;seize our painand enter my spiritbefore it's too late. It's fading can't you see?

We borrowed an intensity;a storm for the calm, and asweeping of dark streets with awalk of light in naked night. We strayed from a calm moonand into a closing door.

Now we remainlocked up in a boxlying under your bedwith a lingering and profound depth, profound depth in the kiss, profound depth in the daylight.

When the heart finally breaks without a single trace of pieces left and the sky has completely fallen the soul can then begin to grow.

Chapter 5 – Here we reach the beginning of the end

This is where all roads lead. Every day the flow of life gives us a mealtime of fate for which we must eat. And in each and every dimension we race about searching for the best of conclusions to the story. But there is much more left to be read. Stop looking behind you. It is time to look forward. Do not let hate cloud your vision any longer. And do not put any further constraints on your potential. You are where you have always wanted to be. Let experience take the driver seat now. Drive wherever you want. Before it’s too late.

spin

i feel it all slipping away and I know that no one understands sometimes I just want to say it without the positive spin

as usual I don’t know where to begin to complete my soul there has been even less In the days to come than I thought but can a man forever out-run his own past progression?

I want more, more, more always on the move have to eat have to sleep coffee to keep me awake

Is eating, sleeping, and working all there is to life? Can we ever step out of the need-gratification cycle? Who among us is truly alive?

Hallways of the ravaged part II

it seems I am wandering aimlesslyin a vast undiscovered countrydesire has shown me no mercythe death of a dreamthe final sleepwhat am I doing here?i want to be where I belong

not backing downin the faceof the inevitablethere is no one to blameno way to cover the naked past
