Step #1: (Instructions For Single & Double Slide Doors)

Frame the Rough Opening to be 1” less than Door Height & 3” less than Door Width. Make sure everything is Square & Plumb.

Step #2:

Mount the One-Piece Aluminum Door Track @ 1 ¾” from Bottom of Rough Opening to the Bottom of the Aluminum Door Track. Aluminum Door Track is mounted to the Interior Gable End Wall Framing Members that are Flush with the Rough Opening Frame. Fasten the Aluminum Door Track with the #14 x 1” Tek Screws provided (Recommended @ every 24” for Single Slide Doors & every 16” for Double Slide Doors). For Double Slide Doors, Two Aluminum Door Tracks are used and butted together in the center.

Step #3 & #4:

Mount the Rollers to the Top of Door with #8 x ½” Pan Head Screws provided @ 6” from each End of the Door to the Center of the Rollers. (4 Screws Per Roller)

Place Doors on Aluminum Track. There should be ½” Clearance between Door Frame and Rough Opening.

Note:

Rollers need to be installed with both Black and White tabs facing you. The Black tab releases Roller when pushed all the way Right. The White tab is the lock at left Position. The Rollers have a Hex Head Bolt that allows adjustment of the height of the Doors.

Step 5 & 6:

Fasten Stay Rollers even with the Inside Edge of the Rough Opening Frame (1 Per Door) with #14 x 1 ¼” Flat Head Screws provided. Adjust the Roller so Door Panel has ½” clearance from Rough Opening Frame.

Mount the 1 ½” x 1 ½” Black Sliding Block @ Bottom and Inside of Rough Opening (1 Per Door) with #14 x 1 ¼” Flat Head Screws Provided. The Sliding Block Edge will hold the Door against the Stay Roller and Maintain ½” clearance between Door Panel and Rough Opening Frame.

Step #7:

When Double Slide Doors are in Full-Closed Position, make sure there is the same amount of overlap on each opposite side of Doors & Rough Opening Frame (Approx. 1 ½”). Now, make a mark on the Inside of the Aluminum Track even with the Edge of both Rollers where Rollers are to stop. Then slide the Doors Open and fasten the 1 ½” Door Stop in the Track with the #12 x 1 ½” Screws provided.

Do the same with the Outer Rollers in the Full-Open Position, so Doors stop in the right location. Doors should be approximately 3 ½” from Rough Opening Frame in the Full-Open Position, allowing room for Pull-Handles and Door Latches.

Step #8:

For Single Slide Doors:

The Offset Z-Door Stop and Alum. Z-Catch are mounted to the Gable End Wall Frame with #14 x 1” Screws provided. The Offset Z-Door Stop is mounted at Base of Door and Alum. Z-Catch (Shown Above) at height to accept Black Lever in Full-Closed Position. Door slides into the Base Offset Z-Door Stop in Full-Closed Position, and is held secure against wind. Install Standard Lever Latch Handle with Lockset facing Outside & Black Lever facing Inside. Drill 7/16” Hole in Door Frame for Latch Stem to install Lever and Latch.

Step #8: (Cont.)

For Double Slide Doors:

Mount The 1/8” x 2 ½” x 4” Aluminum Door Stay with #10 x ¾” Screws provided on the outside of the Door with the Factory Mounted Astragal. This will allow Door to be held tight against wind. Mount 12” Cane Bolt to Passive Door with Factory Mounted Astragal with #10 x ¾” Screws provided.

Step #9:

Mount supplied Brushes to the inside of the Rough Frame Opening, starting with the Top Piece first with #6 x ¾” Screws provided every 8” and pushing firmly against Door for seal.

Fasten the Ends first; Middle Second, the rest of the Screws can be fastened. (Bottom Door Seal Brushes are NOT Standard)

Step #10:

Mount Pull Handles with #8 x ½” Pan Head Screws provided on both sides of Double Slide Doors. In Full-Open Position, Door Stops should allow 1 ½” between Pull-Handles & Rough Opening Frame.

Step #11:

For Double Slide Doors:

Drill 7/16” Hole in Door Frame @ 1 ¼” from Edge of Door Frame Without the Factory Mounted Astragal for Latch Stem. Mount Standard Lever Latch on the Door with #10 x 1 ¼” Oval Head Screws provided with Lockset Facing Outside.

Step #11 (Cont.)

Mount Black Lever Facing Inside. Mount Stainless Steel Z-Catch on the Door With Factory Mounted Astragal with #10 x ¾” Screws provided.

Note:

* Bottom Door Seal Brushes Are Not Standard & Must Be Ordered Separately.

* Above Fastening Hardware Is Figured For Steel Gable End Frames & Rough Opening Frames.

* Bottom Thresholds Not Included.
