Overlapping walls Fixing overlapping walls

Preventing overlapping walls

If walls overlap eachother, ourroom detection won’t work.Fix this as soon as possible because

it gets more dif cult to track and xthese errors whule your plan growsin complexity.

It’s better to do draw like this: Draw your rooms one by onewithout letting walls overlap.

Antother fail-safe method is to draw your exteriorwalls rst, then add your rooms one by one.

Method 1: splitting and connecting

1. Split the rst wall

3. Drag the split point on top of eachohter. Yourrooms will be detected again!

4. Drag the split point to the right position.

2. Split the second wall

Preventing unconnected corners

Fixing unconnected corners

If wall corners are too close toeachother, this can result in buggy

oorplans where your rooms won’tshow, or maybe even your ash -player crashes, making you looseunsaved changes, having to go backa few steps. grrrr

Simply make sure you don’t putyour wall corners too close. Check

your white dots regularly byhoovering over a wall.

The wall corners tend to snap to eachotherwhen you drag the wall. Drag your wall abit so they snap to each other.

You’ll see the rooms will berecognized correctly again.

Sometimes it happens by accident when you drag a wall to-wards a corner, or draw a wall from an opposite side.

It can happen that you think your dots are connected but infact they aren’t. Just be aware this can happen!

Disappearing surfacesDid you draw a surface that justdoesn’t shows up in the 3D?

This is often a double corner inyour surface.

Select the surface thatyour missing.

Try to move the corners oneby one to see if they aredouble.

Then move the corner backon top of the other. This willdelete one of them. You canalso click on the corner andpress delete/backspace.

Check your plan in 3D to seeif it reappears. If it doesn’tcheck the nodes again.
