Contest Sustainable 4 ME
4ME stands for Four Motors for Europe and is the acronym for the interregional network of the regions Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Baden-Württemberg, Catalonia and Lombardy founded in 1988.
The contest „Sustainable 4ME“ is a contest for students of general upper secondary and vocational upper secondary schools from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Baden-Württemberg, Catalonia and Lombardy.
This contest contributes to the realization of SDG 4.7..

Four Sustainable Development Goals
AgendA 2030
The “Agenda 2030 for sustainable development”, formally adopted at the UN Sustainability Summit of Heads of State and Government in New York on September 25, 2015 is a sort of “global future treaty” with 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) contributing to a life in dignity for all. The international community agreed on contributing actively and substantially to transform all lives and to protect the planet by 2030.
For the contest, the following Goals are important:

Contest
InterregIonAl cooperAtIon In europe
The contest „Sustainable 4ME“ is a contest for students of general upper secondary and vocational upper secondary schools from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Baden-Württemberg, Catalonia and Lombardy. The contest aims at developing and implementing good actions contributing to a sustainable future in schools or/and communities.
tAsk
Students have the task to elaborate and implement an action plan which contributes to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted in 2015 by the United Nations.
The focus of the action plan should be on the SGDs 7, 11, 12 and 13.
contrIbutIon
1. Action plan (minimum one page) and2. TwinSpace with - photos and videos, - illustrations, - project presentations (Power Point presentation, Prezi), - blog entries, etc.
English or German language is mandatory for all contribu-tions!
Participation
tArget group
The contest is open to students of general upper secondary and vocational upper secondary schools from Auvergne-Rhô-ne-Alpes, Baden-Württemberg, Catalonia and Lombardy.
WAys to pArtIcIpAte
Option 1 Students from the four regions elaborate collabora-tively an action plan which will be implemented individually at each school/in each community.
Option 2 Students from the four regions elaborate different action plans and exchange their ideas and steps.
project pArtnershIps
In case of close collaboration with partner schools, the sub-mission of a common contribution is possible.
Already existing school partnerships are not required for the participation!
regIstrAtIon
To participate in the contest, interested classes/groups of students/schools have to register by January 31, 2018 under www.bne-bw.de/wettbewerb-vier-motoren where you can find additional information.

- June 15, 2018- submit via email to [email protected] indicating “Contest: Sustainable 4ME”
selectIon process
Submissions are reviewed by a panel of experts from schools, administrations and NGOs.
Criteria
submIssIons hAve to meet the folloWIng crIterIA:
the ActIon plAn:
- is clearly structured, concise and illustrative, - contains several actions or at least three realization steps.
reAlIzAtIon of the ActIons
- at least two of the planned actions have to be implemented, - documentation of the realization, - future prospects regarding additional actions.
usAge of etWInnIng
- communication and collaboration with partners from other regions, - documentation of planning and realization.
sustAInAble ImplementAtIon of meAsures
Prizes
Winning contributions will receive a certificate. The participants of the best multinational project will be invited to Baden-Württemberg to present their ideas and actions.
