Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be

tested. And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make (it)

known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood

of) those who are liars, (although Allah knows all that before putting them to test).-chapter

    29.

Allah bears witness that La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He),

and the angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness); (He is always)

maintaining His creation in Justice. La ilah illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped

but He), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. -Chapter 3

Say (O MuhammadSAW ): "Who provides for you from the sky and from the earth? Or whoowns hearing and sight? And who brings out the living from the dead and brings out the

dead from the living? And who disposes the affairs?" They will say: "Allah." Say: "Will you

not then be afraid of Allah's Punishment (for setting up rivals in worship with Allah)?"

    chapter 10.

And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no

proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah

and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful.

    Chapter:23

That is because Allah, He is the Truth, and that which they invoke besides Him is Al-Batil

(falsehood, Satan and all other false deities), and that Allah, He is the Most High, the Most

    Great. Chapter 31

Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, so worship Him (Alone) and

be constant and patient in His worship. Do you know of any who is similar to Him? (of

course none is similar or coequal or comparable to Him, and He has none as partner with

Him). [There is nothing like unto Him and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer]. Chapter 19

And most of them believe not in Allah except that they attribute partners unto Him [i.e. they

are Mushrikun -polytheists - see Verse 6: 121].

Has he made the aliha (gods) (all) into One Ilah (God - Allah). Verily, this is a curious thing!"

    Chapter 38

Except only the desire to seek the Countenance of his Lord, the Most High; chapter 92

And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will abide forever. Chapter 55

The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you mates from yourselves, and

for the cattle (also) mates. By this means He creates you (in the wombs). There is nothing

like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. Chapter 42

    Chapter 51:56

Verily, Ibrahim (Abraham) was an Ummah (a leader having all the good righteous qualities),

or a nation, obedient to Allah, Hanifa (i.e. to worship none but Allah), and he was not one of

those who were Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah,

and those who joined partners with Allah).

(He was) thankful for His (Allah's) Graces. He (Allah) chose him (as an intimate friend) and

guided him to a Straight Path (Islamic Monotheism, neither Judaism nor Christianity).

And We gave him good in this world, and in the Hereafter he shall be of the righteous

Then, We have inspired you (O Muhammad SAW saying): "Follow the religion of Ibrahim

(Abraham) Hanifa (Islamic Monotheism - to worship none but Allah) and he was not of the

Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers, etc.). chapter 120

This is the Guidance of Allah with which He guides whomsoever He will of His slaves. But if

they had joined in worship others with Allah, all that they used to do would have been of no

    benefit to them. Chapter 6

The parable of those who disbelieve in their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on whichthe wind blows furiously on a stormy day, they shall not be able to get aught of what they

have earned. That is the straying, far away (from the Right Path).Chapter 14

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Verily, my Salat (prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying

are for Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

    Chapter 6

Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only). Chapter 108

Whoever disbelieved in Allah after his belief, except him who is forced thereto and whose

heart is at rest with Faith but such as open their breasts to disbelief, on them is wrath from

Allah, and theirs will be a great torment.

    Chapter 16

Then they will be thrown on their faces into the (Fire), They and the Ghawun (devils, and

    those who were in error).

And the whole hosts of Iblis (Satan) together.

They will say while contending therein,

By Allah, we were truly in a manifest error,

When We held you (false gods) as equals (in worship) with the Lord of the 'Alamin

(mankind, jinns and all that exists);Chapter 26

All praises and thanks be to Allah, Who (Alone) created the heavens and the earth, and

originated the darkness and the light, yet those who disbelieve hold others as equal with

    their Lord.Chapter 6

And those who, when they have committed Fahishah (illegal sexual intercourse etc.) or

wronged themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins; - and none

can forgive sins but Allah - And do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they

    know 3:135

And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of

Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besides

Allah?' " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say).

Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner-self

though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the All-Knower of all that ishidden and unseen. Chapter 5

Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allah is the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam

(Mary)." But the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord

and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has

forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists

and wrong-doers) there are no helpers.

    chapter 5:72

Muhsin KhanVerily! Allah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners in worship with Him, but He

forgives whom he pleases sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship withAllah, has indeed strayed far away. Chapter 4

Surely, the religion (i.e. the worship and the obedience) is for Allah only. And those who take

Auliya' (protectors and helpers) besides Him (say): "We worship them only that they may

bring us near to Allah." Verily, Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they

differ. Truly, Allah guides not him who is a liar, and a disbeliever. Chapter 39

And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am

indeed near (to them by My Knowledge). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when

he calls on Me (without any mediator or intercessor). So let them obey Me and believe in Me,

so that they may be led aright. Chapter 2

And they worship besides Allah things that hurt them not, nor profit them, and they say:

"These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do you inform Allah of that which He knows

not in the heavens and on the earth?" Glorified and Exalted be He above all that which they

associate as partners with Him! Chapter 10

"And they have said: 'You shall not leave your gods, nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwa', nor

Yaghuth, nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr (names of the idols); chapter 71

Say: "To Allah belongs all intercession. His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth,

then to Him you shall be brought back."

And when Allah Alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are

filled with disgust (from the Oneness of Allah and when those (whom they obey or worship)

besides Him [like all false deities other than Allah, it may be a Messenger like 'Iesa (Jesus) -

son of Maryam (Mary), 'Uzair (Ezra), an angel, a pious man, a jinn, or any other creature

even idols, graves of religious people, saints, priests, monks, etc.] are mentioned, behold, they rejoice! Chapter 39

O you who believe! Spend of that with which We have provided for you, before a Day comes

when there will be no bargaining, nor friendship, nor intercession. And it is the disbelievers

who are the Zalimun (wrong-doers, etc.).

    Chapter 2

Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? 2:255

And there are many angels in the heavens, whose intercession will avail nothing except after

Allah has given leave for whom He wills and pleases.Chapter 53

"What has caused you to enter Hell?" chapter 74: 42

They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers)

    "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor);

"And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers.

"And we used to belie the Day of Recompense

"Until there came to us (the death) that is certain."

So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them.

    11/14

Have they taken others as intercessors besides Allah? Say: "Even if they have power over

nothing whatever and have no intelligence?" 39:43

And truly you have come unto Us alone (without wealth, companions or anything else) as We

created you the first time. You have left behind you all that which We had bestowed on you.

We see not with you your intercessors whom you claimed to be partners with Allah. Now allrelations between you and them have been cut off, and all that you used to claim has

    vanished from you. Chapter 6

And warn them (O Muhammad SAW) of the Day that is drawing near (i.e. the Day of

Resurrection), when the hearts will be choking the throats, and they can neither return them

(hearts) to their chests nor can they throw them out. There will be no friend, nor an

intercessor for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.), who could be given heed to.

    40:18

And warn therewith (the Quran) those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord,

when there will be neither a protector nor an intercessor for them besides Him, so that they

may fear Allah and keep their duty to Him (by abstaining from committing sins and by doing

all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained). Chapter 6

And leave alone those who take their religion as play and amusement, and are deceived by

the life of this world. But remind (them) with it (the Quran) lest a person be given up to

destruction for that which he has earned, when he will find for himself no protector or

intercessor besides Allah, and even if he offers every ransom, it will not be accepted from

him. Such are they who are given up to destruction because of that which they have earned.

For them will be a drink of boiling water and a painful torment because they used to

    disbelieve-Chapter 6

Whosoever intercedes for a good cause will have the reward thereof, and whosoever

intercedes for an evil cause will have a share in its burden. And Allah is Ever All-Able to do

(and also an All-Witness to) everything. Chapter 4

On that day no intercession shall avail, except the one for whom the Most Beneficent (Allah)

has given permission and whose word is acceptable to Him. Chapter 20

And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping

others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of

the world]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-

Seer of what they do. Chapter 8

And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Prostrate

not to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate to Allah Who created them, if you (really)

    worship Him. Chapter 41

Nor would he order you to take angels and Prophets for lords (gods). Would he order you to

disbelieve after you have submitted to Allah's Will? (Tafsir At-Tabari). Chapter 3

And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of

Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besidesAllah?' " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say).

though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the All-Knower of all that is

    hidden and unseen. 5:116

Those whom they call upon [like 'Iesa (Jesus) - son of Maryam (Mary), 'Uzair (Ezra), angel,

etc.] desire (for themselves) means of access to their Lord (Allah), as to which of them should

be the nearest and they ['Iesa (Jesus), 'Uzair (Ezra), angels, etc.] hope for His Mercy and fear

His Torment. Verily, the Torment of your Lord is something to be afraid of! Chapter 17

Have you then considered Al-Lat, and Al-'Uzza (two idols of the pagan Arabs). Chapter 53

And Manat (another idol of the pagan Arabs), the other third?

And when they embark on a ship, they invoke Allah, making their Faith pure for Him only,

but when He brings them safely to land, behold, they give a share of their worship to others.
