What is your role on this journey? As you become educated about the nature and course of the disease, you will become empowered to be a positive force in your loved one’s process and to find healing for yourself. Benefits of Participating in Family Programming: • Learn how to heal from the experience of active addiction and support your loved one’s recovery • Find a safe space for your family to address sensitive issues under the guidance of a caring professional • Help give your loved one a better chance at long-term recovery • Clear the air and reduce tension surrounding your loved one’s time in treatment • Develop improved communication skills, increased support and clarity on family roles and responsibilities Helping Everyone Move Forward and Heal You don’t need to walk this road alone. Support and education can make all the difference. Your participation matters! Family Group meets every Thursday from 6pm – 8pm and the Multifamily Group (which includes current patients at Roswell) meets on the second Thursday of the month from 6pm – 9pm. The primary focus may be on the individual in need of treatment, but where can you turn for help and understanding if someone you love is battling substance use disorder? How can you begin to acquire the tools to help them — and yourself — live a healthy, fulfilling life? Foundations Atlanta at Roswell’s Family Group is educational, supportive and interactive. Open to family members of Foundations Recovery Network patients, this group provides a safe forum to discuss your experiences, address your fears and learn new skills for moving forward in a positive and empowering way. As treatment professions explain the systemic issues caused by addiction and mental health conditions, you’ll gain important insights and support for your own journey.
