Learning Outcomes

Students completing the Outdoor Leadership minor will

develop an understanding of the history and theories of leadership; identify and evaluate the human dimensions of outdoor leadership, including moral and ethical responsibilities and human impact on the natural world; demonstrate outdoor leadership competency in at least one area of technical skill; plan, implement, supervise, and analyze high quality, safe outdoor adventure and/or educational programs; and apply the concepts of outdoor leadership to a practical leadership role.
