A Key Decision is a decision that is likely to result in significant expenditure or savings for the service concerned, or to have significant effects on those living or working in an area comprising two or more wards of the Borough. Members of the public are welcome to comment on any item on the Forward Plan and to attend meetings of the Cabinet or any meeting where a delegated decision is to be considered. These meetings are held at the Civic Offices. Details of the Cabinet Members and their portfolios are set out on page 2 of this Forward Plan. The Procurement and Commissioning comprises the Members of the Cabinet.

Each decision will be supported by a report, prepared by the sponsoring officer. Copies of final officer reports and background papers (documents which have been relied upon to a material extent by the author in preparing the report, but excluding published documents) may be available from the sponsoring officer on the telephone number given, however please note that the officer will only be able to provide the report or other documentation where it has been agreed as a final document. Documents will not be supplied where they contain exempt or confidential information.

Decisions by the Cabinet, individual Cabinet Members and Key Decisions by Officers can be ‘called-in’ by any Member of the Council, any Parish or Town Council or at least 20 residents of the borough. Called-in items will be considered by the Executive Scrutiny Panel.
