OUR MISSION The Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show is dedicated to creating a vibrant air show that gives back to the community and supports, sustains and grows our region’s aviation legacy by honoring our military and veterans, raising funds for local nonprofit organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and engaging and inspiring the future generation to explore a career in aviation.

OUR PASSION To support, sustain and grow our regions aviation legacy by engaging and inspiring the future generation to explore a career in aviation. This is accomplished through our STEM Discovery Zone ground attraction, which has been growing strong since 2015.

OUR THEME The air show’s theme, “A Tradition for the Future,” showcases the area’s rich aviation heritage, its deep roots in the aerospace and aviation industry and the industry’s future in North Texas. To convey this deep connection to the community, the air show includes North Texas built aircraft both flying and on display.

WHO WE ARE The annual not-for-profit Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show is one of the largest and most successful air shows in the nation. This all-encompassing community event attracts more than 120,000 attendees annually; showcases our nation’s armed forces and Dallas-Fort Worth’s important aerospace and aviation industries; promotes education and workforce development programs across the region; and provides the very best in patriotic family entertainment. Alliance Air Productions, a 501(c)(3) organization and producer of the air show, is a subsidiary of Hillwood Properties, the developer of the 26,000-acre AllianceTexas project that is home to Fort Worth Alliance Airport.

Since 2006, more than $720,000 has been distributed to more than 70 nonprofit organizations, including over $219,000 to beneficiaries such as USO of Dallas/Fort Worth, Hope for the Brave and Carry The Load. In 2017, the air show also sponsored the MWR Department events for 2018 at NAS Fort Worth.

Throughout the year, the Alliance Air Productions, producer of the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show, participates in a variety of events.

The largest pre-show event is the Boy Scout Aviation Merit Badge Program. Alliance Air Productions hosts Boy Scouts from the Longhorn Council of Fort Worth and the Circle Ten Council of Dallas to participate in an Aviation Merit Badge class at Tarrant County College. Taught by local business owners, pilots, aircraft mechanics and staff from Alliance Air Productions, Boy Scouts work in groups in comprehensive sessions to complete the Aviation Merit Badge requirements.

During air show weekend, Alliance Air Productions has hosted over 400 students from Fort Worth, Northwest, Keller, Birdville and Crowley school districts with an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), providing an opportunity to experience a private viewing of the air show. This effort is to help inspire and ignite their passion in aviation. The air show provides a platform for performers to engage with local students, participate in locker room chats and/or coin toss on the field with local recruiters. The Creative Media Production Academy group from Northwest High School is part of our Youth Ambassador Program that helps students enhance their skills and portfolio through opportunities including, conducting performer interviews and shooting video and photography.

In addition, over 100 Make-A-Wish children and their families attend the air show to experience an exclusive meet and greet with the jet team for autographs and pictures with pilots. This special event gives local children with life-threatening medical conditions a rare chance to witness the grace and glory of aerobatic performers. The jet team also visits Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth as further outreach to young children.

As part of the ground attraction display at the air show, the STEM Discovery Zone powered by Lockheed Martin is our newest addition and is an interactive journey for children where their imagination takes flight. Since 2015, the STEM Discovery Zone has grown into a 4,800-square-foot exhibit that includes a Legends and Heroes Autograph area and 25 nonprofit participants, mostly with a connection to STEM or youth aviation programs. This area offers hands-on activities designed to engage our youth and encourage them to learn more about Fort Worth aviation history through our partnership with the Fort Worth Aviation Museum.

Alliance Air Productions has partnered with the Fort Worth Aviation Museum, a key educational resource for North Texas, to bring the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show an interactive STEM Discovery Zone. This area provides hands-on activities designed to engage our youth and encourage them to learn more about science, technology, engineering and math. Join us in this interactive journey for children where their imagination takes flight.

From active military service to the civilian community can be a daunting process. To support this transition and to provide an opportunity for organizations to promote services available to military members, Alliance Air Productions debuted this special ground attraction in 2018, where local nonprofit organizations could showcase their services, allowing local veterans and potential supporters to learn about and connect with them. Be a part of an incredible opportunity and support our nation’s heroes.
