GOALS OF FORT PECK COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The goal of FPCC is to provide academic education and vocational training for American Indians and area residents that assists them in meeting career and occupational objectives either through employment or transfer for completion of additional degrees and certificates. In addition, Fort Peck Community College is dedicated to the special efforts needed to maintain and preserve the history, language and culture of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes. This includes community education and development activities in the areas of health and wellness, and social and economic development.

MISSION STATEMENT OF F.P.C.C.

Fort Peck Community College serves the people of the Fort Peck Reservation and Northeastern Montana as a medium of Indian awareness, enabling increased self-awareness.

The College offers an academic program that enables students to earn credits in college sources designed to be transferable to other institutions of post secondary and higher education. The College serves the constituency of the reservation populations by maintaining an occupational training program based on the needs of the people living on and near the reservation and on potential employment opportunities available in the region. The College serves the people by initiation and supporting community activities and organizations based on the needs and wishes of community members.
