•Our topic will be the rising university tuition fees.

•Our target audience will be those looking to go to university or parents of students, etc.

•The formality level of the documentary will be relatively formal.

Content• We will be looking into whether university is worth it for college leavers. The title, Degree or Not Degree, implies this. We will have this question answered by the end of the documentary.

• We will interview a mixture of professionals – careers advisors, teachers, academic coaches, etc.

• We will be conducting our vox pops in Solihull town centre with a wide range of passers by.

• We hope to get opinions from people from all walks of life.• We will use stock footage of student protests and David Cameron, the Prime Minister, defending the decision to increase tuition fees.

ResearchPrimary•We will carry out a pilot study, asking 20 people to fill out questionnaires about their knowledge of university tuition fees.•The vox pops will give an insight into the views of the general public.•Our professional interviews with people such as teachers, academic coaches and careers advisors should give us informative opinions from people who work in related areas.•We plan on also recorded our own research video, asking a group of students for their opinions on what they expect to see in documentaries. Secondary•We will use trusted sources such as large publications like The Guardian, BBC News and The Times to source the information used in our documentary.•We will also use figures from UCAS and The Office For Fair Access to add some precise detail to the voiceover, which provide reliable, factual information.

Resources• A camera, microphone, headphones and tripod will be required to film our documentary.

• We will need access to an iMac with Final Cut to edit our documentary, as well as GarageBand to create the music for the documentary and radio trailer, as well as compiling the radio trailer.

• A recording studio will be useful to record our voiceover for documentary and radio trailer.

• We will need a Windows PC with Adobe PhotoShop and InDesign to create our double page spread.

• A digital stills camera will be needed to take photos for our double page spread.
