WORLD BIBLE SCHOOL is unique. It involves so many Christians in
fulfilling the Great Commission around the world. At its very core,
WBS is: You. Sharing Jesus. Jesus is the message. More than
anything else, our world needs Him. The Mission Team and the
elders have decided May will be the month there will be opportunity
for the congregation to give a special contribution to the World Bible
School program. If you wish to contribute by check you may make
the check payable to World Bible School, or you may give securely
by going online at www.worldbibleschool.net/give and set up an
automated credit card payment account. If you wish, see Leslie
Roby for a pre-addressed envelope to mail in your contribution at
your convenience.

MINISTRIES COURAGE TO CHANGE Jason Batten, the Operations Director, spoke at the Courage to
Change meeting Thursday May 15, about the Latrobe Street
Mission and the work they do to help the homeless in the area.
Two projects he mentioned are the Grace mentoring program
and the Greeting acclimation program. Shawn Jones is
responsible for the Grace project which involves spiritual
mentoring. Men are paired with men and women are paired
with women. Volunteers would meet with a man or woman and
study, and or pray with them. If you would be interested in
learning more about this program you can call Shawn Jones @
304-893-9991. Another area that would appreciate volunteers
is in the meeting and acclimating new people into the home.
Brenda Ridgeway is responsible for this program. If you would
be interested in volunteering for this program at the Latrobe St.
Mission, you can call Brenda @ 304-893-9460. This is another
way we can share Christ with others in our community.
LOVE IN ACTION Things continue to remain busy with the pantry. Once again,
Rose Caltrider is working with the pantry on Tuesdays. She is
greeting the clients and just being there to encourage and talk
with them. We are praying God blesses her interaction with our
community. We have again donated $1500 to the C of C
Disaster Relief effort. We sometimes ask what can I do to make
a difference in our community. The answer could be we just
need MORE of Jesus with less drama, less selfishness, less
complaining, less bitterness, less gossip, less pride, less anger,
and less of ME! It is All about HIM!
H.O.P.E. Beginning in June, the HOPE group will be meeting on
Wednesday evening only from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. During the
summer months, the plan is to discuss different topics every
other week and to have guest speakers at some of the
meetings. If you or anyone you know may be interested in
joining this group of ladies, please contact Sharon McClead.
PRAYER MINISTRY The Prayer Ministry will meet in the Roots classroom on
Wednesday, May 28th immediately following services. This will
be a brief meeting—please plan to stop by and pick up your new
prayer list.

time as a guest at the Belpre Church, we’d love to talk with you about Jesus Christ and his church here. If you’re looking for a church home, you
may have found it. Welcome and please come back!
