CABLE SOLUTIONSFOR THE WATER TREATMENT INDUSTRY

Dekoron ire Cable’s construc on capabili es are highlighted below, with an emphasis given to our more common construc ons and o erings. Dekoron prides ourselves on our ability to produce custom and unique cables to suit our customer’s needs. If your project requires a speciali ed cable construc on, contact us today to learn more about our specialty cable op ons.

CONDUCTORS are, nned, or nickel-plated annealed copper and most

thermocouple alloys, in solid, 7-strand, or 19-strand con gura ons from to are common in Dekoron’s products. ddi onal si es, metric conductors, and alterna ve stranding op ons are available upon request.

INSULATIONSDekoron o ers both thermoset and thermoplas c insula on compounds including PVC, PVC/Nylon, XLPE, HDPE, and Silicone. Specialty compounds are available upon request.

JACKETSackets, some mes known as sheaths, are provided in similar

compounds as the insula on. hese compounds include PVC, CPE, PN LS H), HDPE, Nylon, and Polyurethane, some of which are available in low-temperature capable versions. Specialty compounds may also be available upon request.

CONFIGURATIONSDekoron’s typical cable construc ons feature single and mul ple twisted pairs and triads, as well as mul -conductor con gura ons. hese cables are available with individual, overall, and unshielded op ons. Special construc ons, like twisted quads and composite cable construc ons are also available.

SHIELDING Dekoron, the innovator of EMI shielding, provides a variety of op ons in shielding to prevent noise and interference and helps to maintain signal quality. ypical shields are an aluminum tape with polyester backing. Drain wires are combined with the shield and are in contact with the conduc ve side of the tape, allowing for easy termina on and grounding. ddi onal shielding materials, such as copper, are also available. Braided shields are available by special request.

INSTRUMENTATION Instrumenta on cables monitor process parameters such as pressure, ow rate, and temperature by transmi ng high-quality, low voltage signals to the instrumenta on and process control room. hese cables are typically mul ple twisted-pair con gura ons in 16 or 1 si es, with each pair gathering one set of data. Shielding, a Dekoron innova on, prevents noise and interference and helps to maintains signal quality.

CONTROL Control cables carry signals to change process parameters from the control room to the remote equipment. Control cables are typically comprised of 1 and larger conductors, some mes with addi onal grounding conductors and shielding.

CIRCUIT INTEGRITY Circuit Integrity cables are meant to perform in the event of a re emergency. hese specialty cables are typically installed in cri cal circuits, allowing for extended control and monitoring mes, even in an emergency situa on.

DIGITAL DATADigital Data cables, such as ieldbus and Category cables, are serial, two-way, digital communica on cables speci cally designed for process monitoring. Communica on is provided via twisted-pairs of conductors with speci c electrical characteris cs and construc on features depending upon the cer ca on.

THERMOCOUPLE EXTENSIONhermocouple Extension cables allow for the remote

monitoring of thermocouples from a central loca on. hese cables are available in several common thermocouple types.

COMPOSITE CABLES Composite cables combine the above types into one convenient package, providing for an all-in-one solu on.

hese cables are especially helpful when space or ease of installa on is a concern.

ARMORDekoron o ers several armor op ons to provide addi onal protec on for various applica ons. hese armors have various bene ts, and are ideally suited for various applica ons.
