Dear Friends!
It’s once again time for our Annual Open for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We are looking forward to another fantastic tournament!
Since many of our participants do not live in Northeastern Pa., we wanted to change venues so both returning and new friends have the chance to golf at another outstanding area country club. Tom Fazio’s Championship Course at Paupack Hills Golf and Country Club is awaiting you. Located in the beautiful Poconos, this course is known for its impeccable greens and spectacular views of Lake Wallenpaupack.
Please join me at Paupack Hills for the 5th Kathy L. Pape Open benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foun-dation (JDRF) on Friday, July 31, as we raise money to help researchers find a cure for juvenile diabetes. We have been blessed with generous participants and to date have raised over $160,000 for the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of JDRF along with another $12,000 for Pennsylvanian families in need of diabetic alert dogs. My husband and I have been dedicated for years to the JDRF organization and whole-heartedly support its mission in helping those who struggle with diabetes.
I hope to see you on the greens for a fun filled day of com-petition. As in the past, our Open includes 18 holes of golf, a welcome packet, morning coffee/pastries, several luncheon options, on course snacks and beverages, a cocktail hour with exceptional raffle prizes, an awards ceremony and din-ner. New to the tournament this year is the chance to win an all inclusive trip for 4 to Memories Grand Bahama Beach and Casino Resort!
