Pitch Document Synopsis: My webisode idea is about football hooligans. The name of the webisode is going to be called ʻThe North Standʼ and set in cambridge. The firms will be from un- named teams ʻCityʼ and ʻUnitedʼ. The main character is called Danny who is 18 years old and goes to college. We meet the main character on a monday morning, as Danny goes to college with cuts and bruises all over him and tells his friends about his hooligan weekend. In this first series, as he is telling them, there is a flashback showing you exactly what happened. It starts by him walking through an under passage wearing his team colours, when a firm run at him and we see him getting “Battered” . The firm is called ʻThe City Psychoʼsʼ, when he is on the floor another firm helps him up and fight with the city psychos. This firm that helped him is the one he will be sticking around with for the rest of the webisode. The next load of series would show no flashbacks, but only what happens after the story he told his friends. Danny then finds him self getting closer with his new found firm who saved him on that day where he got battered called ʻThe UCʼ (united casuals) and he starts to fade away from his friends. They spot this and in each webisode series they would show him getting into fights and being moody around his friends and only talking about fights. His education goes down hill and his personality shows drastic changes, this then makes him grow issues at home and with his friends and leads him to stealing. It then comes to a point where he is not hanging around with his mates anymore and is only interested in his firm. By the end of the last ever series we would ʻif we were doing itʼ hope to make it tense as its a battle of his friends trying to take him from the firm before itʼs too late. Rationale: I think that my webisode idea will appeal to a wide range of audiences and not just the target audience which is, action film fans, football hooligans fans and also a young adult audience. It has a lot of realistic things such as family distributes and friend issues as well. Another reason for me thinking that it will appeal to the target audience is because there has not been a football hooligan webisode before, so all the hooligan film fans will probably rush to have a look at this. I think that it fits to the brief as it will have all the attributes which the brief is looking for. In our research we asked 15 people both boys and girls, what there favorite genre was out of ʻFootball hooligansʼ and ʻSilent comedyʼ and from this we saw with a majority of the vote winning by 11 to 4 was ʻFootball hooligansʼ. 3 of the 4 who voted silent comedy were girls. This showed us that football hooligans genre was a favorite by far with the people we asked. I have now taken the research market audience into account and this has made me more confident in doing the football hooligans idea. Contingency Plan: There are quite a few issues that we are likely to face when it comes to making our webisode as it is about football hooliganism violence so there are going to be many things that we either canʼt do, or that are going to be hard to do, this includes finding a suitable location like the common, but we have to see how easy it is going to be to do it there as there is always people walking past and also on the common is where cows are sometimes put. Another issue that is likely for us to come across, is the amount of people we can get, because for a firm battle you need quite a lot of people so we might have to come up with a plan to get around this, for example, make it so its not actually a meeting and a few people of each firm accidentally meet up.
