HoNoriNgSusan Keeton joined Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s (BBP) Board of Directors in 1999 and served as board chair. She has been instrumental in numerous Buffalo Bayou projects and was the driving force behind BBP’s restoration of the Sunset Coffee Building at Allen’s Landing. Susan was also an early volunteer and later board member with Friends of Hermann Park (now Hermann Park Conservancy) and is a devoted member of River Oaks Garden Club (ROGC). Through ROGC, Susan volunteered for many years in the gardens of Bayou Bend.

celeBratiNgAfter more than a decade of work, Buffalo Bayou Partnership recently completed restoration of the historic Sunset Coffee Building (built in 1910). Located at Allen’s Landing, Houston’s birthplace and first port, the building houses BBP’s administrative offices, boat/bike rental facility and a rooftop terrace.

As our city continues the long process of recovery from Hurricane Harvey, Buffalo Bayou Partnership is committed more than ever to its mission of transforming Houston’s most significant natural resource and to the broader civic values that our city needs as it moves forward to rebuild. Proceeds from the gala provide crucial operating funds for BBP, and your commitment will allow for the continued care of the 10-mile stretch of Buffalo Bayou from Shepherd Drive to the Port of Houston Turning Basin.

We sincerely hope you will participate in Sunset on the Bayou and support advancement of Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s impactful work.
